Throughout the offseason for the Cowboys, starting Guard Connor Williams has been getting some looks at center. What does this mean for projected starter Tyler Biadasz and could a change be brewing at the position for 2021?

Williams saw reps at center came during the spring practices and again during these first few days of training camp. But according to Mike McCarthy, Connor’s only being evaluated as a potential backup.

This is a joke. Conner Williams is not competing with Tyler Biadasz for the starting Center position. Williams is the starting left guard. Conner is getting reps at Training Camp because Biadasz can't possibly make all the snaps just like Dak can't make all the passes.

Uh... yeah, that's it.
No other reason whatsoever. You got this.

This is just a terrible post.

Nobody said he was competing with Mr. B and the Prescott thing at the end explains why things are the way they are.

I cannot see why this is not a positive.

If you read the OP you'd know that's not true. The question was asked, "what does this mean for projected starter Tyler Biadasz and could a change be brewing at the position for 2021?". The Prescott thing at the end is just stating the obvious. Prescott is securely the starting QB and likewise, Biadasz is securely the starting C... which is my point in the first place. You may disagree all you want but it's not a "terrible post".

Oh no, it's a terrible post for several reasons.

Good to have positional flexibility

The very feeling cannot escape me. i don't get the feeling OL coach Joe Philibin cares for Connor McGovern, who has more center position experience than either Williams or Nebraska rookie Matt Farniok who i read only started one game at center before he was moved back to OG.

Philibin seems to be making it clear that he doesn't want to see McGovern at center at all. And i'm interested to see how this interior positions turns out.
i think our backup center - and maybe even our swing OT role- will end up being on shaky grounds once the OL injuries commences.

So what! It's not like he is competing with Tyler Biadasz for the starting center job. Maybe he is the backup C.
