The QB play last night was nothing less than atrocious. How the team could be this far in to training camp with these backup QB’s and think that they could play is mind boggling. They’ve seen them every OTA, mini-camp and every day in training camp. Really disappointed they haven’t gotten a decent backup from day one so that he could get acclimated with the offense. They better get off their rear ends fast and bring someone in because if Dak goes down for a few games, we ain’t winning squat.

Gilbert was alright till the redzone, then he just held the ball for too long. He's definitely upgradeable but our first drive Ty over committed to the outside rush and got exposed when the RDE went inside.

Rush and DiNucci aren't NFL QBs.
Definitely need another QB if Dak's health is going to be a questionmark and the FO wants to win games

Yes, Gilbert is fine. The other two don't belong in the NFL.

It's a little alarming that DiNucci was a pet cat for a supposed QB guru like McCarthy. I try to give the benefit of the doubt scouting players. We all miss a lot but I just don't see any traits in him that would make anyone believe he could potentially be an NFL QB.

Ehhh… there’ll be time to add a vet backup once teams start cut downs— if we need to. I think they have to check out GG in preseason games to see what he’s capable of.

GG gets three more chances to shine before they will need to make a decision.

Yes, I'm sure capable QBs will be released all around the league.

Nice thought. But when the best you can do is Blake Bortles, does it really matter at this point?
at least he’s taken the jags to the playoff and one a playoff game. can read a defense and make a clutch throw.

Here we go again with the typical Cowboyszone whine club.

Its always fun. Some people just want to complain and moan. Its funny how people like to complain and then offer no solutions. If we overpaid for a good backup then people would complain and say Jerry spent all of his money on the QB position and that why we don't have a veteran CB, or pick whichever position you want. As soon as someone goes down this year the crybabies would blame Jerry for paying QB's too much and neglecting depth at other positions.

Just wait it out and see if they make a move on a vet through camp. The reality is if Dak goes down our season goes with it no matter who your back up is. The teams left standing will have Brady, Mahommes, Rodgers at QB not some old dude at the end of his career who signed up to hold Dak's clipboard.

I’m just not sure it matters to be honest. Gilbert can probably fill in a week or two depending on the opponents, however reality on the nfl is if you lose your starting qb for an extended period you are done for. Just look at last season, our backup qb is now a starter for another team and we still couldn’t win.

If Dak goes down for 1 or 2 games the season isn’t over if you have a capable backup.
