What is the deal with Dinooky throwing off back foot?

...anyone see this last night? Multiple times I saw him leaning back throwing off his back leg, rather than stepping up or in. Passes sailed away and lacked spunk. Also has side arm tendencies. Don't know if that his style or the situation called for it?
I read somewhere that his sidearm thing is done when a defensive player is in the way of a normal pass

His mechanics are terrible, throwing sidearm and off the back foot. Other coaches wanted him when we drafted him. We should see if they'll trade for him before we just cut bait. He's not an NFL-ready QB, and with those poor mechanics, he likely never will be.

When you are about to get plastered you tend to throw falling away.

Seriously, what i saw was mostly due to pressure or throwing around someone. but i haven't watched all the second half & certainly not gone back & broken it down.

I don't have a problem with a guy being able to throw side arm as long as they can do so effectively. I wasn't as put-off by some of those plays as some folks were.

I think GG is clearly in the lead as the #2. Rush & DaNooch are probably fighting for practice squad (I assume Rush is still eligible). If I had to keep one for developmental it would be DaNooch as he seems to have more physical ability although he is still raw.

If he's falling back and throwing side arm, he probably also has his eyes closed too....not very good form. I like DaNooch, but not as my QB of the future. Not ready. As for Rush, the only positive thing you can say is he stood in there and took some hits. But also does not look like he has progressed from last year. Both don't give me fuzzy warm feelings.

Fat Mike was the only one dumb enough to draft him. That kid is not a pro

Perhaps because he was backing up a lot or on the move because of pressure?

It's clear he has a strong arm and can still get the ball in the vicinity throwing sidearm and off his back foot, but he's got to trust in that less and trust more in proper mechanics. It'll help, though, if he gets better protection. Any quarterback consistently under heavy fire is going to revert to what comes naturally.

Wait ... could someone else have drafted him, too? Every coach/GM is the only one dumb enough to draft a player since they only get drafted once.

Who cares.......he's gone.

DiNucci has the worst throwing mechanics of any quarterback the Cowboys have ever had. Dak Prescott could've done better last night using his left hand and hopping up and down on his non-surgically repaired foot.

Ummmmmmm when the rush is in your face the entire night what else is he supposed to do?

WHY ARE WE OBSESSED WITH A 4TH STRING QB

Somewhere Jameill Showers is smiling, 4th stringers are starting to get whole threads made about them.

The Cowboys would have a great backup QB if they could combine Garrett Gilbert's frame, Cooper Rush's mind, and Ben DiNucci's arm into one player.

Because Gilbert has little experience, Rush has no arm strength, and DiNucci has horrific mechanics and decision making.
