That was a tough catch. He's gotten better every year in the league and as it currently stands.....if you're talking about the 5th guy on the depth chart? Hard to get much better there.

How they do nothing to address the back up qb situation knowing how fragile Dak is, is just ridiculous

I think they are hoping Gilbert will step up and show some of what he showed last year vs Pittsburg, but I feel they will watch the waiver wire for a vet back-up. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Mason Rudolf released by Pittsburg and in a Dallas uniform.

Agreed, but you can tell Gilbert is not in any sync or rhythm….he’s delivering those passes way late.

Sure, I could see that. But those two 3rd Down passes were very VERY catchable balls that I would expect WRs at virtually any level to catch.

I'm just glad the Cowboys are actually using preseason for its intended purpose. This is when you need to figure things out like Williams isn't a C. And go for it on fourth every time across the 50.
