I believe Ron Rivera & Washington were targeting Parsons as their draft pick but Jerry got a whiff of this early on and took on some of Rivera’s mentality about importance of defense.

Last time Rivera took a LB he was the best one in the league and this might come true for Dallas. The year before Rivera took Kuechly the Carolina defense was ranked 28th in league and the year after the draft it jumped to 10th.

If it wasn’t for Dallas, Parson would hav slipped all the way to Washington turning that defense into truly elite one.

Then I raise me admiration of Ron Rivera for knowing raw power. He has good taste.

Completely wrong!

Parcells wanted to draft Spears with first of their two 1st round picks but Jerry's crew convinced him that Spears would be available later but Ware and Merriman would be gone by their 2nd first round pick.

Parcells also liked Merriman as much or more than Ware but Jerry's crew convinced him that Ware was the better pick because Merriman had character issue and Ware was considered a great "character" type player.
You have it 100% correct have to give Jerry credit when he deserves it it doesn’t happen a lot

Jesus, are you actually inferring that after months and months of scouting that we took a guy at #12 overall in the draft because we thought Washington liked him? Come on...
Me dear lad, it is implying, not inferring. Implying is making a vague case. Inferring is gathering information and coming away with an onion....
Sigh... we must honor the English language or settle for broooooklyn grunting or east Texas hypnotic twang. lad,
And, no, excitable lad, a rumor probably didn't play into our draft of Parsons. It was, I dunno, raw talent?:omg:

You are half right, but I deserve the credit. What happened was some high ranking government officials in DC brought me in to consult on some policies. I stopped by and said hi to Ron, as I usually do. I found out about this Parsons kid from him and immediately flew out to Jerry's little boat and showed him some YouTube clips and he was sold. The rest is history.

Parsons has never played a single down of regular-season NFL football. Too early to compare him to Kuechly. Just my opinion.

I present my case with facts... it's too early to compare Parsons with Kuechly. Am I right or am I right?

No no no it is never too early or often . . . in fact that is all we could do . . . is Compare them . . . Because talk is cheap. We could talk about their similarities and differences . . . we could talk about their college carears and we can talk about Parsons potential.

That's why we are on a Message Board . . another option we have is . . We can even tell others Not To Do it . . . if that's how we feel about the situation.

So technically . . . you are wrong. . . . and it appears to me you are very Technical
