And yes, Burton is an easy cut after today. Not even a consideration for the 16 man practice squad in my opinion.

One thing I’ve noticed throughout this entire preseason while watching is that it seems every team we’ve played back ups seem to be far better than our back ups. They execute better, they tackle better, they catch better, etc. Is it just that our organization is horrible at evaluating lower tier talent?
But, but, but it’s the preseason so nothing matters except when these terrible back ups are forced into action due to injuries and then we have an excuse for losing regular season games.

His number 1 receiver isn't even in this game so try again. Like I said spin it how you like.

He has more completions and throws to Shenault than anyone else. Shenault was their number one receiver a year ago despite missing games. Led in receptions and TDs.

Read the convo then come back and put ur 2cents.
I read through it a bit. Mentions of backups and lower tier QBs beating up on our defenses in the past. It doesn't matter. New year, new scheme, new coaches, new players. What does the past have anything to do with this defense? If you don't want to answer the question that's fine but you're deflecting because answering that question doesn't fit your narrative. Good day

Could be. But I’d give this GM and his VP of Personnel son, another 26 years to try and figure it out.

DiNucci is raw. Very raw but he at least looks like a guy who can be a player in a few years.

Rush and Gilbert on the other hand look like they should not even be in the league.

I expect Dinucci to be out of the league within 2 years

He has played really well all preseason and training camp. He made a mistake, as a rookie, in a preseason game that doesn't matter. Doesn't make him stupid, just a bad play.

It was a really stupid play and shows that he has no football sense and situational awareness. I am a big fan of his but that is a giant red flag when someone lacks that type of decision making.

Hopefully, it is just a one-time occurrence.

Yeah and as MikeB80 pointed out as well as Brad and Babes telecast.
Taylor was the only starting o linemen for Lawrence...

So he had 4 out of 5 backups in front of him too.

But anyhow

Cowboys!
lol
Lawrence is the number 1 overall pick.

DiNucci 7th round pick
Rush undrafted
Gilbert 6th round pick

Yep they are on the same level
