I'll never forget that day....I got to my office and checked the news like I always did and saw what was happening.....I'm in deep south Texas and a Mexican, but at that moment I realized how much I cared for my country. USA! I'm not a huge baseball fan, but seeing George W throw out the first pitch an Yankee stadium, is probably my all time favorite sports moment.

I remember working in my office when my mom called and told me. She never called me at work, so I knew something was up when I saw her number.

What's really hard for me is to realize she died the following year. Time flies. :(

I was a sophomore in plainfield new jersey when this happened. It was crazy. Kids crying parents runnin up in the school. I was in woodshop class we were listening to the radio while we worked. I remember the constant news saying a small plane hit the building nothing to worry about etc etc. When the 2nd plane hit my teacher said some expletives and called the office then everything was shut down. I would say the scariest thing was when the buildings collapsed there was never even a mention of it. Actually most of the news networks talked about how the buildings could withstand the hits etc. Just a crazy day ill never forget.

I was working in Seattle and we were doing night shifts. I finally went to bed that morning and my buddy was blowing up my Nextel phone (remember those?). I finally answered, very annoyed, and he simply said, "turn your TV on." I did and I sat there in shock for hours.

Insane that it has been 20 years already.

I was working at Target that day. A co-worker came up to me and said a plane flew into the tower. All I could think was a small plane, and accident. As the day unfolded, I went home on lunch and recorded the news on VHS. Still have those tapes somewhere.

My high school honor society traveled to New York City during Thanksgiving week in 1982. We toured the South Tower and looked down on people, who looked even tinier than what we saw over at the Empire State Building.

I know they are gone but at the same time I cannot believe they are gone.

The second day that will live on forever in infamy.

Never forget.

Our world changed that day.

We were out in the gulf on a diving trip at the Flower Gardens & I didn't learn the facts until a few days later. The crew told us something major had happened, but didn't have any details as to what

I was in 3rd grade at the time. My paternal grandmother had passed away a few weeks before. I remember flying out of Newark back home from the funeral and seeing the Twin Towers. I never thought that those towers would not be there a few weeks later. I then remember being in school. They had us all go into the room we used for music class with a wheel in television to watch what was going on. I don't remember the reactions very well other than the fact we were in shock about what happened. RIP to the victims. Never forget!

I was working in the Former Soviet Union at the time, but had just returned to the states for vacation. Jet lag being what it is, I was awake every, early that morning just puttering about the house. I had the TV on for background noise.

I caught a glimpse of the first news reports out of the corner of my eye and, like most people, couldn't believe what I was seeing. I think I sat, unmoving for hours, glued to the TV.

Living in NJ i remember that day well, like most people. I was working outside Pomona air base around Atlantic city, NJ.
The weather was beautiful that day after a brutally hot and humid summer. We had our 1st crisp fall day.
After everything that happened in NY, DC and PA, the first of 2 fighter Jets took off at 10:34 am and then 11:20 am.
Too little, too late.
The following 2 weeks fighter Jets patrolled the area armed to the teeth.
Such a surreal time to be alive.
