News: BTB 3 reasons the Cowboys will bounce back

This is the cowboys, we played UP because of the opponent, will we have the same fire????

Those are good reasons.

They sound good. What they forget is how many injuries we now have on defense so that 2nd comment is moot. And then he must have forgot that they have Herbert is a amazing young QB. Not to mention the game is on the road.

Dallas should be able to run the ball more effectively, which should help. Need to slow their pass rush and keep our defense off the field as much as possible.

The loss took away from some interesting aspects of the Dallas side of the ball against the Tampas.

Dallas went into the game suspecting the Bucs would try to stop the run and force Dak to beat them. They felt their front could put on enough pressure it would cold cock the Dallas offense.

The Cowboys coaching staff recognized this long before the kick-off. The game plan was to attack the DB's of the Bucs. The WR screens were used effectively to move the ball and blunt the pressure by the Bucs front four and seven. Essentially becoming the running game. Thus using Zeke as an additional blocker - regardless of his salary - to shock the Bucs defense.

All the screaming about McCarthy being clueless - and you really hear it this week when he doesn't move Zach Martin to tackle - has blithely disregarded the fact Dallas game planned the Bucs to an almost draw in the fourth quarter.

So much of the commentary by people on this site want to nitpick the things which support their hurt feelings about the loss, and willfully dodge the elephant in the room that Dallas came up with a game plan far different than Opie - the Achilles Heel of the Giants - who would run on first down into the teeth of the defense and cede the games because he couldn't game plan taking a Twinkie out of the cellophane package.

Most of this board thought the Bucs game was going to be a loss. When Dallas used their noodle and offered punch for punch with the World Champs, these same people who thought they would lose to begin with are now whining because they did.

"They're going to lose, they're going to lose. On my Gosh, they lost. The idiots!" There is an idiot or two in this scenario.

I suspect Dallas will trot out the replacement for Collins. But if it becomes a situation where they have to use Zeke to be an additional blocker, you may see Zach move outside and McGovern enter the game as guard. Zach stated when asked early this week if he would play tackle. He said he would do what was best for the team. His quote was on 105.3 Monday afternoon. So the soothsayers who project Zach said no and is telling the team to shove it - guard or nothing - are wrong.

And McCarthy said around that same time they would look at all contingencies for the Charger's game. Which was a huge turnaround from last year when it was suggested Zach move outside, and he stated this isn't Madden Football.

McCarthy may be much more clever than you give him credit for. Along with his merry band of coaches.

But after seeing the suicide watch group here pick on every player but Pollard, clearly missing out on something this team does, like game planning the Hell out of the Bucs game, and only the kicker, Greg Offlein, prevented this team from astounding the world, and this board by beating Tom Brady and his evil henchmen. I must conclude there are not a lot of deep thinkers on these boards.

But I do believe there are just too few threads touting the positive results of this team just tanking the rest of the season. After the first game. taking the Bucs to the wire. The World Champion Bucs. Toe to toe. Requiring them to beat Dallas in the waning minutes of the game. When Dallas couldn't score on special teams most of the night. YET, hung in with Brady, with a QB most think is overpaid and just a spare.

We just need a few more Tank the Season threads.

I truly think there is a contingency here that would complain if they were offered a night of connubial bliss with Margot Robbie. No raincoat required.

Clowns on the left of me, jokers on the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with you nincompoops.

Rest assured, I am not part of said contingent.

1. Dallas has Dak Prescott and they don’t
While Dak Prescott may not attempt 58 passes again, the show he put on in his first game in over 11 months proved not only that he hasn’t missed a beat but he’s somehow better than ever.

In total, Dak has thrown for more than 400 yards in four of his last five starts. He is the only player in NFL history to do so. His accuracy at all levels has reached “elite” status, and the benefit of weapons like Cooper and CeeDee Lamb only makes him more dangerous.

I'm seeing and hearing the word "elite" being used to describe Dak Prescott more and more all the time. In print, on radio, on television. There's a very strong consensus of opinion.

The stats over his last 16 starts don’t lie… over 5500 yards, 36 TDs, and a 65% completion rate. Elite would be one way to describe it lol

A lot of people are slow. Takes them a while to understand simple things.
