Since we're in pre-Halloween (September) I figured I'd talk about a movie that I admit I had not watched until tonight...

I don't know why or how I missed the 1981 movie "Dead and Buried" starring Melody Anderson, Jack Albertson, and James Farentino. It also included a pre-"Nightmare on Elm Street" Robert Englund.

IMDB gives it a 6.6 rating which is reasonably good.

While not remembered like several other horror flicks of the era, the movie seems to be a favorite of horror mags.

I won't get into the why and how of the movie, but the story is solid with the screenplay written by Dan O'Bannon who wrote the screen play for "Alien" and later wrote and directed "Return of the Living Dead" meaning the guy had some serious chops when it came to horror.

It was the last movie for Jack Albertson.

Anyway if you haven't seen it... Do yourself a favor and give it a go... An hour and 33 minutes in length.

i saw the title and thought this would be about the undertaker.

but regarding halloween....got frankenstein, dracula and creature from the black lagoon ready to roll.
