Why should they? Darnold is off to the best start of his career and Carolina is ranked number one in defense. The Cowboys have the home-field but that’s never been a big advantage for them. I wouldn’t be underestimating the Panthers. The Cowboys are fortunate to be 1-1. The Chargers shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with penalties last week, one of which cost them a TD. Not saying the Cowboys won’t beat the Panthers but this is not going to be an easy game. The Panthers will be well rested coming into the game while the Cowboys will be coming off a short week.

Not all undefeated teams are created equal. I'm not impressed by 3-0 Panthers. The three wins they have are against bad to questionable teams. The only good win was maybe against the Saints who beat the Packers the weak before. I'm not saying they aren't a good team, I'm saying their record is mostly a result of an easy schedule. We can beat that team and I have faith we will.

Remember that "easy" part of the schedule? Not so fast.

The Cowboys will play a 3-0 Panthers team in game #4. The Panthers are not only undefeated, they have the #1 defense in both points and yardage. By the way, the Eagles defense is ranked #2 in points allowed.

What I don't understand is how the NFL would think it fair to have a team that played 10 days ago versus a team that played 6 days ago.

That's right. A team that played on a Thursday night will be paired with a team that played on Monday night. There isn't any other way the NFL could have scheduled this game?

I do remember Dallas starting 3-0 a couple of years ago playing less than stellar teams - how did that work out?

And ive seen 6-0 teams not make the playoffs. What i aw was them play 2 bad qbs in a row and was in a fight with the very short hated Texans team until the 4th qtr.

As much as that might be true I thought the narrative and here is next man up and running backs are dime a dozen and can be replaced by anyone that can. Carry it 15 times a game or more. lmao

Christian McAffrey is a rare exception, he's the engine in their offense. He's what they paid Ezekiel Elliott to be but then they retooled the offense to go through Dak's right arm. *shrug*

The caveat I would add is McAffrey used to be rock solid but then they funneled him the ball so much he's starting to get hurt. So that's starting to help the runningbacks are a dime a dozen narrative. Sure some are more talented and durable than others but they all tend to have a short shelf life and can be found in the later rounds of the draft.

Paid like Hurley, Johnson, and beer, to do a lot less then seek has since that deal was inked..if you cant stay heathy you cant live up to your deal..hes like 3.8 you since his deal was signed and played what 4 games?? In that case hes ripped off the panthers far more then seeks bad deal narrative around here..

Everyone on this board thought we were going to blow them out only to watch McCoy have a career day against us. Romo ended up getting injured in that game. Sam Darnold was playing for an 0-5 Jets team that handed it to us two years ago. I don’t care if the Panthers were playing like crap we better be ready to play or we’ll lose.
