The offsets hasn’t missed a beat so far without Gallup. Does anyone think the injury and the fact that replacement players are shining is costing Gallup any money next year/improving his chances or remaining a cowboy?

I’d trade Gallup now for anything we can get for him. Even a fifth rounder. Wilson is filling in very well.

The emergence of Cedrick Wilson will determine Gallup's future in Dallas. He is going to be a FA as well, but will not cost as much as Gallup will. HIs injury will cost Gallup possibly in his future NFL contract, but he will still get paid more than the Cowboys can afford. Extending Wilson and Schultz may be more of a priority for Dallas.

Gallup missing games due to injury definitely hurts his big contract opportunities. Hope it helps the Cowboys be able to keep Gallup with a much cheaper offer.

Gallup is going to get some money. He's put enough tape out there to prove he's a legit deep threat. Some OC installing a new offense this offseason or breaking in a rookie quarterback is going to want that.

injury will cost him a few points on his next deal, but he is getting $10M/yr on his next deal easy.

Maybe. But looks at the number of rookie/second year receivers tearing up the league? Do you want to pay a #2/3 like Gallup or draft a guy who might be better than Gallup?

I like Gallup but he is starting to look a lot less like a must resign and with the way other receivers are playing, maybe he’s not worth as much.

Having said that, if the Eagles offered a 3rd round pick for Gallup prior to the trade deadline he would be an Eagle.

Gallup is good, better than some but he's no number 1. Gallup is at his best beating 1 on 1 coverage. Just like Wilson took advantage of today. Dak knows cooper and lamb will have double or bracketed coverage so he looked to Wilson and Schultz to beat their matchups. And with some good play calling they did even though philly was in 2 high sets alot.

I don't think so. There are 31 other teams, some of whom will value him based on him being completely healthy and at his best. Laurent Robinson turned a single productive year into a very nice pay day.

Dallas probably won't be able to keep him. I'd go with a solid tender after the season and look for someone to give up a pick.

With Coops injury we will need Gallup the rest of the year if we are to compete with the better teams.
Besides we can get a comp pick if he signs a descent contract with another team.

We need Gallup back. Him and Dak have nice timing down on deep passes. He goes up and gets that ball like Dez use to. He adds another layer to our Offense that Defenses can't double up Lamb or Cooper

Gallup will get paid. Corey Davis got a nice contract and I think the both of them are very comparable.

as for the injury, he’ll be back in time to where it won’t affect him as teams will be able to see how he has returned already.

He will get paid, but every game he is not playing he is of course losing money because that will be in the back of peoples mind. Although everyone remembers what you recently did than what you didn't in the past so it largely depends on how he ends the season.

This offense will go to the next level when Gallup returns… we should not trade him at this point just to “get something for him.”

We will benefit from his production for the stretch run… Cooper is playing through an injury for us right now — so trading Gallup away does not make a lot of sense imo

Trade Gallup while he's hurt? Makes no sense.

And the Cowboys better get more than a 5th for him if he's traded. Very unlikely he could be replaced with a 5th.

With the salary cap going up I'm still optimistic there is a chance he can be retained.

I don't think so. He has 2 good years and a rookie season where he could get open but didn't quite have that chemistry down pat with the QB.

He should get #2 money easily, unless there are rumors us fans haven't heard of.

I think his future here is shaky regardless, but that's just an opinion and who knows how he wants to play out his career. While possible, I can't see him and Cooper being on the team next year. So, the team would have to choose.

You can't spend a 3rd on a guy who has proven to be worth the pick and then trade him for a 5th rounder. That's Al Davis-level incompetence.

When was the last time Jerry wasn’t able to find money or cap room for a player the team wanted?

If Jerry and Stephen want Gallup here, he will be here. Same with Wilson. Same with Schultz. Same with Williams.
