So generally speaking I don't like the idea of trading picks for players. The Cooper trade did work in our favor though.

I wasn't keen on some of the trade possibilities people were tossing around during preseason, but now I'm coming around because:

1. the Cowboys are almost certainly headed to the playoffs.

2. the Cowboys are almost certainly not as good as the Bucs or the Rams.

Sure I believe the Cowboys can beat either of them, but IMO those two teams (and maybe GB, but I haven't seen enough of them to be sure) are better. However I don't think the Cowboys are that far off.

I think if I were in the FO I'd seriously consider trading for an elite defensive player, assuming there's one to be had. I don't know if I'd want to part with more than a 1st and a 2nd but given the possibility of losing guys like Gallup to free agency I'm willing to part with some future draft capital to improve the defense, even if it means only a short term (1 or 2 year) rental of a great player.

I wonder what the Bears would want for Mack once they are 1-7 and realize they need a full rebuild. I have no idea how to gage trade markets or anything but another big play maker like him out there with Parsons, Lawrence & Diggs would be so awesome.

hope not

i dont see why they would go all in this season after they just sign their franchise qb. cowboys window = dak now not any have to win now. plus franchise qb contract make cost controll draft picks even more important.

keep ur picks, keep hitting like micah and trevon.

Its not about being good for one year. Its about be good for a long time.

This team will get better as the season progresses with that defense. They can play with anyone.

After rethinking it, I'd honestly pass on any trades. This team seems to have chemistry, even Suzy on the Monday night show said the same thing. I wouldn't want to disrupt anything going forward.

I’d jump on pass rushing DE. I love Micah but I think he’s a little too light to be going against Oline men long term. He’s gonna wear down.

I would have stolen cornerback CJ Henderson from Jacksonville but the Panthers got him while we wouldn’t match or beat that offer.

A 1st round talent on a rookie contract is about all we could afford. We don’t have the cap space for anything else now or next year. And trading away picks only makes replacing lost talent tougher.

Man I've been thinking that as well. We need a vet Center and Cb

I'm for it in December when we have a better idea of the landscape. It would suck if we traded for a guy now then a key player like Dak or Tyron went down and the season was over anyway

Just because Jacksonville drafted him in the first round doesn’t make him a 1st round talent.

The 9th pick in the draft last year gets dumped for basically peanuts. Something really wrong. Giant red flag. Carolina was desperate, so they had to gamble.

Titans drafted an OT in the first round last year who didn’t even make the team. Dolphins brought him in for a tryout and he was late for 3 meetings and told to pound salt.

If I’m adding a players it either a DT or OC. Guys ike Grady Jarrett and Frank Ragnow would be two that come to mind that would make a huge difference.
