He certainly has the chops. Don't care if the Falcons lost the Super Bowl while he was coach. Helped the Seahawks to a couple of good seasons as DC.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that. The NFL is the land of second chances and I firmly believe he will get his. If the Dallas defense shows out this season, and so far so good, I think he will have people knocking on his door.

The best thing about Dan Quinn (so far) is the fact that he brought Jayron Kearse with him. This guy looks like Kam Chancellor but faster. Micah is getting all the praise but Kearse is playing his position just as well as Micah is playing his position and we’ve needed both of these guys for a long long time.

if Quinn keeps this up he'll be a head coach somewhere next season hes not going to be a DC i believe any coach thats fired midseason wants to redeem himself elsewhere

McCarthy is clearly not going anywhere as long as this team keeps winning. Our coordinators on O and D are going to become poacher bate. I think KM is less vulnerable to be poached because he has visions of one day being the Cowboys head coach. DQ is the guy that will be gone first and so our contingency for that is to prepare to give this defense to Joe Whitt Jr.

I disagree, I think there are many teams that would have DQ as their HC next season.

Tap the brakes it’s only been three games. Everyone on the board was so in love with Kris Richard after the 2018 season many on this board wanted to make him the next head coach. The following season everyone was calling for his head. Give it some time before you anoint him. If things start going sour for the defense in December and January everyone will be calling for his head.

Just a reminder the defense is ranked 26th. We got cut up pretty good by Brady and Herbert. Hurts put up over 300 yards on us and made some nice plays down the field. The defense has gotten better but it still has a long way to go.

If that is a commentary that the Cowboys don't need Kellen, I strongly disagree. He is the next HC of the Cowboys and they need to keep him at any cost.

Quinn will eventually get another opportunity at HC but it won't be in Dallas. When that time comes we likely elevate an assistant to DC.

Garbage yards or not Hurts made some nice plays against us. The TD throw he had when he was running to his right was a thing of beauty. We got gashed for several plays of 25+. If the Cowboys make the playoffs and don’t tighten things up a QB like Brady or Aaron Rodgers will have a field day making plays down the field. We couldn’t stop Brady in the opener with the game on the line. Herbert would’ve been pushing 400 yards had it not been for some of the penalties the Chargers committed. Some are acting like the defense has arrived and it hasn’t. It certainly has improved over last season, no question about it but we still have a long way to go.

If Sam Darnold goes out and has the kind of game he had against us a couple of years ago with the Jets this live in the moment crowd will be all over Quinn. Lol
