Half time adjustment or just better execution?

I have heard over and over about coaching adjustments at half time, (or the lack thereof). In the Carolina game the second half was almost a complete turnaround from the first half. So, was it coaching adjustments or did the players just play better?

Neither. Talent at S and DT makes all the difference.

They installed more mirrors and told the players to stare themselves for a minute or two.

That was one of the biggest swings I've seen in a game in a long time. The Boys just came out and absolutely dominated that 3rd qtr. It was glorious. Somebody gave a great motivating speech at halftime. lol

Rhule said at his post game conference that Dallas barely blitzed in the first half, then they dialed up the frequency and creativity of their blitzes in the second half.

He didn’t say this part, but it had me thinking about Darnold’s infamous “I’m seeing ghosts” bit.

Naw it was adjustments for sure. They had Parsons rushing much more in the 2nd half…..

And offensively they attacked them differently then they did at the start…they didn’t adjust at half time they did it earlier but when they saw how quick the Panthers were attacking us the running backs were much more patient when they hit the holes…

Neither!

What happened was I switched from Ginger Ale to 7UP and put my hat on backwards.

I think it was evident that Dallas started brining the blitz is the second half and offensively I think because of the success of the run it opened things up and results were 3 TD passes in the 3rd qrt.

It's because I took a nap at the start of the third quarter ... and then fate turned on the fireworks.

Always works like that.

The only coaching adjustment was the Big Blue M&M with the sprinkles on him started accepting penalties pushing the Panthers back instead of giving the Panther's offense a closer shot for a 1st down.

In the first half of the game the Zeke and Pollard ran with the ball 15 times behind Tyron, Zack, and the rest. They were constantly beating up on that Carolina defense. They were wearing down before halftime.

From what I've been told, when a defense is being outmuscled, real fatigue starts slowing down a defense somewhere in the 3rd quarter. How did the Cowboys begin their offense at the start of the 3rd quarter? They ran Zeke at them some more.

It wasn't a halftime adjustment. It wasn't better execution. It was about being pushed all over the field and expending too much energy.
