At the very least, they have to make the NFC title game. Something we haven't done since the mid 90's.

What will it take to convince you that the Cowboys are for real this season? I know that nobody wants to jump the gun and get their hearts broken when they falter at the end of the season, but is their a point where you say to yourself that this is the year?? For me, I think it would be winning the next 3 before the bye, including the Vikings game in their house. That would lead up to the bye and would give them alot of momentum towards the rest of the season. Of course, beating KC and then the Raiders on Thanksgiving would be a cherry on top. Go Cowboys!!

I need 2 or 3 more games, but I already get a completely different feel from this team already. This is not a Jason Garrett 8-8 football team, and everyone has to be able to see it just after 4 weeks. Oh, one last thing. Beating the Chiefs would be huge, and will be tough even though I think we can put 40 up on them. But the Raiders? This team should beat them.

Way to piss in our corn flakes, Ren.

We can go way harder on those corn flakes. Statistically, make the playoffs and you still have a >90% chance of going home w/out that Lombardi. 12 Teams in, 1 survives. Getting to 20,000 foot base camp is easy. Everest is 26k+.

Now that's a hopeful thought to start your day. Cheers all, LOL.

Oline - check
QB - check
RBs - check
coach- check
OC - check
WRs - check
Dline - check
DBs - check
kicker - 50/50
owner - negative

8 out of ten means we're a contender.

The owner is the GM so shouldn't you credit him as well as others for the position checks. The owner is almost 80 years old and mostly relies on his son these days to keep the wheels rolling but have some mercy. :flagwave:

Convince me? Give me a complete Choke Out of the NY Football Giants! It won’t be an easy game, but I want to see us put a Foot on their Necks. Complete dominance would be really sweet!

I am holding my horses. It’s a long season. But a deep run or SB would shut a lot of people down.

Keeping the boot on teams necks and not letting them come up for air.

Good teams win games, but better teams demoralize their opponents and don't give them hope.

We’ve got the talent and despite a few questionable decisions, we’ve got the coaching staff…
Looking at the best teams in the NFC… Rams, Packers, 49ers, Bucs and ourselves, there’s unlikely to be much between any of them come the latter stages of the playoffs so it’s whoever has the momentum at the time.
We need to be hitting peak form come the playoffs, and a bit of luck with injuries and 50/50 calls.
If the team plays to their potential, they are capable of beating anyone.

defense still a big problem, probably bottom of the table in yards given up.the turnvers are the saving grace and keeping the points allowed in check.

Consistency over time..is all.

It's great our team is looking good. We have before.
It's great we a bit of streak. We have before.

"for real" means you do it all season long and into the playoffs. And only time will tell that story.

Pretty simple.

A divisional playoff game.
In Los Angeles.
The run game has been stifled all day.
Biadasz and Williams are struggling mightily with constant middle pressure from Donald.

Ramsey is lined up outside on Coop.
Man on man.
All day.

And YET...
With all these seemingly negative in game circumstances the franchise QB consistently stands in the pocket taking hit after hit.
Delivering nothing but b b lasers to Coop especially whose target windows are practically non existent.
But like Aiknan always says..."You can't defend a perfect pass."

Franchise guy is so clutch that he leads the team down on a 2 minute warning against all these odds with methodical precision, pinpoint darts being thrown all the while.

A chip shot Zurelein FG seals the win at the final buzzer.

THAT kinda performance would convince me.

THAT is what I expect out of THAT kind of contract paid to not only this QB, but this RB, WR and DL as well. Especially the signal caller because this type of display would finally cast out all the previously mentioned doubts I had of elite vs. complimentary. Carrying the team without great blocking OR good WR separation against a playoff team. I've seen enough of it from others.
THAT is why they are paid and what separates elite from overpaid good.

Now continue to prove me wrong and get r' one.

Win in the playoffs. A divisional game, lol

They have shown enough for me in four games to say they are for real. However, "realness" is not enough in my opinion.

Being real can net you a good season. Dominance can carry you a long way further down the road. The team must continue improving its efficiency and consistency in all four phases: offense, defense, special teams and coaching.

Football is a four-quarter survival match of the fittest and opponents want to win too. Time for the team to take its talent and skill to the next level, STAY there, and impose their will all game long every game.

I’m already convinced.

But none of it matters if they do nothing in the post season.

If you know football you shouldn’t have any questions about whether or not the team is for real or not.

They can do whatever they want on offense, vet QB playing at a high leve, a pass rush that provides a ton of pressure, and solid coverage in the secondary.

Dallas is obviously “for real”.

The way they are playing now is definitely "for real" The question is can they sustain it through the year, or is this the peak. Time is the only way to tell.

They’re for real in that they’ll be a tough out in the playoffs ( assuming we can stay relatively healthy)

I don’t think this is a SB team, but we’ll see. Get to the playoffs and anything can happen

What element do they not have that other teams have that you consider a Super Bowl team?

Dallas is as good as anyone in this league. They just have to go do it in the post season.

Need a convincing post-season win that indicates the team has turned a corner.

I just want to know we are a contender and won't rely on miracles to win in January.

I'm already convinced.

Doesn't mean I think we are going to win, but we will be among the teams that have a chance.

Assuming certain key players remain healthy that is.
