If I'm not mistaken Dowdle was placed on IR before the season started.. which means he must spend the entire season there.

Giants will try 2 load the box and blitz Dak and stop Zeke. If I'm Dallas I just let Dak stand back there and carve them with 3 step drops and quick releases..lots of bubble screens and slants. Quick hitters. The Gmen will come in aggressive. Use that against them. screen em 2 death.

Zeke did sit out one game last year because of the calf injury. Though I suspect had the Cowboys been playing a team better than the dumpster fire 49ers and their third string QB he probably would not have missed that one.

TY. Thats right. I recall signing him now. He's a very serviceable rb. Great little back that can catch. Fits what we wanna run. I say lets make him active and get him 3-4 touches.

I think he has been active every game already.. because he's a pretty good special teamer in addition to being a decent 3rd down back.

You think Jaylon walked into Mac's office and said, " hey coach, go ahead and cut me. Because I think the team will be better off without me."

Truth is...at the end of the day Human Nature supercedes team sports. Just saying. So all of that cheering Zeke would be doing, would just be superficial. AKA gold plated emotions.

I don't know how you can equate being cut from a team from being sat down for an injury. If the Cowboys had told Jaylon they were going to put him on IR because of injury he might have protested but he would have been okay with it in the interest of the team. Being released outright is a horse of a different color. In the former scenario you still get to be and feel like you are part of the team and feel like you can help.. in the latter you are told you are not welcome to be part of the team and you can't help.. VERY different situations.
