My opinion of the best OL for the Cowboys

With the way Steele is playing, I feel like our best OL may be:

LT - Smith
LG - Collins
C - McGovern
RG - Martin
RT - Steele

I feel like this would get our best 5 on the field and help us with power players like Fletcher Cox.

Steele is not a better tackle than LC. McGovern is not a better C than Biadasz. Leave McGovern available to play part-time FB. Leave Steele available to play swing tackle.

Collins was the Cowboys' best RT. This isn't 2019 anymore. What have you seen from Collins last year and this year to say he is the best?

Collins quit on the team last year and played only one game this year due to stupidity and selfishness on Collins' part.

I think people are getting a bit carried away with the legend of Steele
He’s a greatly improved player who has the talent to play in this league
He’s not close to Collins in level of play right now
He may be someday but no today

At RT, Collins has missed a full season plus 3 games now, he has to get some reps and get comfortable. You have see how much better LC is than Steele.

At IOL, my thought is if McGovern is , at least, even with Williams I'd like to see McGovern take over to get on the OL for this season and 2022. At C, Biadazz should get better, but if McGovern can play C Dak shouldn't get pressure in his face too often.

Are you watching the games? two off the top of my head horrendous missed plays by him, a screen where he blocked nobody and a when he pulled on a running play into the A gap, he completely whiffed on the tackler, on those two plays alone, at least 30 yards were lost last week alone

Steele is our swing tackle and that’s saying something concerning how much hard work this young man has accomplished. He’s not better than LC though. LC is an all-pro caliber tackle and as others have mentioned, he doesn’t want to play guard.

What’s up with the Biadasz lack of recognition on this board? McGovern might be a better center. Maybe…

But Biadasz is kicking butt right now, and the people most likely to know the best option at center are the Cowboys coaching staff. So fans should just rely on their expertise.

Compare Steele this year vs last. Massive improvement. He did a great job against Bosa who is a stud pass rusher.

I'm not arguing that point, I agree he's gotten better since last year but with his footwork, I think he's the swing tackle when Collins comes back...
