This could happen to anyone. We had a company party earlier in the year and I estimate 90% of the people attending drove home drunk. Just be in the wrong place at the wrong time while over the limit and you have a DWI.
I hate acting like "I'm better than you", because I'm not, but if that is true, you work with a lot of terrible people.
If I have to drive, I just straight up don't drink (been the designated driver a lot too). And if I drink, which when I do I drink pretty hard, I just don't drive.
DWI is one of the stupidest and selfish things a person can do and any acceptance or excuses for it is just as bad.
That is one of the few things you can never justify under ANY circumstance.
No. It doesn't happen to just anyone. It happens to stupid people who make stupid decisions.
There is no excuse for drunk driving. None whatsoever.
