That's true and that's why Leighton is still here and Jaylon isn'tI don’t disagree but we aren’t on the hook for 9m if LVE gets injured.

Yes. He isn't the worst LB in the league regardless if he is most people's whipping boy.Huh? Are you saying Jaylon was playing better than LVE and other LBs in the NFL?
He misses jaylon maybe..lolI don't watch film and wouldn’t really be able to assess in a non-fan way anyway, so would appreciate if anyone that does could give thoughtful descriptive analysis of his play this year?
Like I know to me he seems nothing like his rookie year in terms of movement and taking on blockers, but would be cool to hear an educated take. Thanks.
Honestly I think Gifford and Bernard would be better options ** this point.
There have been many and much worse 1st round picks than LVE.
Maybe he and Kazee can go into “business” together.LVE looks like he’s making business decisions on the field.

You know you can’t give facts to the Jaylon haters. LVE only played better then Jaylon for one season (rookie year). Jaylon has the higher PFF grade the last 3 seasons.Without being bias go watch film of this season of every play of both Leighton and Jaylon Smith. After that if you come away that Jaylon wasn't playing better than Leighton, much less than anyone in the league, than you haven't a clue what you are watching
the player doesn't know either? that would seem to be the root cause of the issue.Like Jim Mora famously said, the only people who know whether a player is 'doing his job' on any given play are his coaches. People can guess. Sometimes they'll be right, sometimes not, but nobody knows for sure.
I disagree. If Parsons is in coverage and a runner is past the line of scrimmage, they can't pass the ball, so Parsons should leave his coverage assignment and make the play.I think people are misinterpreting his advice to Parsons. No, you cannot and should not try to make every play! You must focus on doing your job, not running after everything you think you see, that’s when a defense gives up big plays. You fill your gap, you cover your zone, you stay home sometimes to stop the cutback.
Part of LVEs response was “sometimes that’s another guy’s play to make.” It doesn’t mean be a slacker and let someone else make the play. Ever heard Belichek quoted, “Just do your job” ?
It’s part of having a solid, sound defense.
Yep you are 100 percent correct. When a player becomes the whipping boy, facts no longer matter. Everything they do is trash and gets blamed for things that wasn't their faultYou know you can’t give facts to the Jaylon haters. LVE only played better then Jaylon for one season (rookie year). As much rotating as DQ has been doing maybe they can get a couple plays to see how they do, at some point.Honestly I think Gifford and Bernard would be better options ** this point.
