They are playing as a team but the pats game Dak was clutch. He put them on his shoulders and carried them down making plays with his arm. That was bellycheats plan was to take the run away. In the past we would have lost that game.

I agree. The way he fumbled into the end zone on one series and threw a pick into the end zone on another was super clutch.

This guy's carrying everyone.

As long as the D keeps getting turn overs they are making up for their weakness
If the TO’s slow down they have to play much tighter
Dak is playing amazing football but ideally he’s not throwing 40-50 times a game. There will be games he has to use his arm but hopefully most games we can run the ball effective and keep him around 20 a game
The less you have to pass the more games you will win
20 attempts per game is way too low when you have our weapons, but I totally agree with everything else you said. Make it 28-30 and I'm with you.

You sound like the type that "roots" for a Zeke TD run instead of a passing TD when we are in the red zone so you can say Dak had a bad game...some fans...

I love Dak as much as you do but it is an overstatement to say that he is carrying the team. We are winning games because there are many people making huge contributions towards the wins. We wouldn't be 5-1 without Dak but I would argue that we wouldn't be 5-1 without Diggs, Gregory, Zeke, etc. I know that you are only making this proclamation to piss off Dak detractors but you have taken it too far with this one. Having said that, there is no quarterback that I would rather have under center than Dak. Go Cowboys!!!
No, he’s carrying this team. The defense is giving up huge yardage and a lot of points despit all the turnovers.

So Dallas has no run game and the offense is nothing but Dak, right? I hope you don't really believe that.

Even you can't be that obtuse, unless your goal is to cause division and fighting among CZ members.

Dak’s running the offense. His passing opens up the running game and vice versa. He’s the puppet master making it all work. Brady has tons of talent on his offense too but would go nowhere without him pulling the strings. Same with Rogers and the other elite QB’s.

Dak and the offense are definitely carrying this team. However I don't think the defense is as bad as the stats show. Dak and the offense have gotten the Cowboys off to great starts and put the team ahead for most games. Even the Bucs game they went toe to toe with Brady down to the last minutes of the game and should've won except for some missed FG's. Don't get me wrong, the defense allowing all those yards in the 3rd and 4th quarters is not a good thing. Too many big chunk gains being made on the defense throughout the game but mostly when the defense is behind. I'm hoping that the more playing time the youngsters get under their belt, the return of some studs like D-Law will improve the defense. Then we have Gallimore, Joseph and maybe Hill to add. This defense doesn't have to be elite because Dak and the offense can carry the team but when it gets to the playoffs they will need to certainly play better. The Bucs won the Super Bowl last year more because of their defense than their offense.
the offense is doing its job. scoring in bunches and is almost unstopable unless they mistakes and I like to see that cleaned up (dak has 6 fumbles, not good, so clean it up Dak).

the defense is good in several categories, obviously turnovers, pressure, QB hits, and 3rd down conversions...

the one area I pointed to in another thread was Yards after catch (YAC). we are giving up big plays and right now we are the worst team in the league in YAC.....around 1000 yards. only in 6 games!!!!....that's average of 4.3 yards per pass attempt and a ridiculous 6.6 yards per completion, and 2.7 yards per play...........cut that by 1/3......just 1/3 and we are a really good and solid middle of the pack, defense aroudn 12-15 without any glaring deficiencies and a serious superbowl contender.........just that one change on defense.

so not sure why we ae that bad in YAC....but they have to address it.

While there are a ton of players making plays for the Cowboys (Diggs the number one example), two men are the big difference between 2020 and 2021, at least to me.

Dak Prescott and Dan Quinn.
Also we are not using 3rd string Olinemen.

This has been a team effort so far. The D has issues but have made some plays.

A running game never helps the passing game? Can you make it any more obvious you have only one agenda?

Ok..... so if they start losing games it will be all Dak's fault because as you just said "Dak’s running the offense...... He’s the puppet master making it all work".

The most important and proven stat for any winning is not up for debate, it's turnover ratio. So far Dak has not made 1 pick or fumble recovery.

He's playing his best ball ever and it's great to see how he has improved reading the field and improving his speed on his release.

The difference between the last 2 years and this one is our increased investment in defense and getting a decent DC.

It takes all 3 phases to win consistently. We’ve had the offense but now we have an improving defense, good special teams and better coaching.

Carrying makes it sound like you’re saying the team is trash and Dak is the only one doing his part, which is not the case. He is playing great and leading the team to wins. The whole team is really playing at a high level with Dak leading the way.

Always have to have an agenda.

Is Dak playing well? Yes he is, very well.
Is Dak carrying this team? No, he is not the only one on offense playing well. He ain't doing it by himself.
We struggle to win games the most when teams hold Zeke to less than 4 yards a carry and that was evident in our lone loss. The only reason the TB game was close was due to the boys winning the turnover battle.
It is 100% a team effort and Dak is a big part of that no doubt but to say he is carrying this team is stretching the truth.

Dak is no doubt the standout player and team MVP, but the Cowboys for the first time in a long time are playing complimentary football. That is what will propel them to a Championship.
Yep...I don't understand this penchant to give dak all the credit. He is playing QB LIGHTS OUT! And of course that is crucial to team success.

According to the person that made this original thread..."Dak has been doing this the whole time". So...what changed? Why are we playing so well and winning games if Dak has just been doing what he always did?

The team! Including coaches. Especially the defense. One example? OT against the Pats. Defense gets the stop. That gives Dak his chance.

It all works together....let's give the whole team the credit they deserve.

And you sound like an immature child who can't handle the truth so you create a fantasy land to live in that comforts you.

Kind of like how you created the fantasy that Wentz is a better QB than Dak? Or the fantasy that Dak had already reached his ceiling in 2016 and couldn’t improve his accuracy? Or the fantasy that Dak can’t read defenses? Or the fantasy that Dak hit his “physical prime”?

Who’s really the immature child? I’d say it’s the one who mocks Dak’s injury, lacking in compassion; like it couldn’t happen to you too. Just feel fortunate no one is around to broadcast your face on live television every time you weep in your mom’s basement.

People who can’t handle the truth concoct fantasies about a QB they don’t like.

Defense ranked 23rd in yards allowed per game (381.2) and 20th in points per game average (24.3). The run defense is ranked 5th in league against the run (86.2 yards per game) and 30th against the pass (381.2).

However, stats do not matter to you as you have said in the past unless somehow they are used to perpetuate your BS that Dak is carrying the team in spite of the fact that Dallas is ranked 2nd in rushing (164.3 yards per game) and in spite of Dak being responsible for 6 of 7 of Dallas' offensive turnovers.
