He should be suspended. It happened after the play, and with nothing but malicious intent. If the NFL was even halfway serious about player safety they'd be all over this.

Totally out of character for Smith to do it IMO but a POS move nonetheless. SHOULD be suspended a game and fined but he'll get a slap on the wrist probly
Now that they are turning the play in he will get a 2000 dollar fine…

He should definitely be suspended a game or two with fines. That wasn't like opps im sorry that was done on purpose

The ref that was literally watching it go down a couple yards away should be also suspended and fined no questions asked

One of my fellow furry friends suggested that he should get suspended for the amount of games he played this season that he should've been masked up for. I happen to agree with her.

The league will now find CeeDee for saying something
Right. CD racks up fines for not wearing his uniform correctly but on the field he gets choked and the refs do nothing. Maybe they'll look at that play and see CeeDee's socks weren't pulled all the way up and fine him. That play still pisses me off.

Or that his helmet wasn't on straight. Who cares that it was yanked? It's got a star on it.

Dude should get a suspension for that but were I betting man I'd be willing to wager a month's paycheck that he won't.

It's now getting to the point where the Cowboys aren't affected by it and overcoming these flags...now it's starting to reflect in a negative light on the refs and its going to bite them. Before when Dallas fans would say the refs weren't calling certain things, other fans would attribute that to Dallas fans beign cry baby's. Now I'm starting to notice more fans agree with us, including one of my good friends who is a Vikings fan. I'm glad these players are starting to get vocal, I just hope something changes before someone gets hurt

I was actually shocked that Zeke didn’t get fined or suspended for calling out the refs after the Patriots game.

Well, y'all are kinda whining, aren't you? You need to read more. I said if they can show it was indeed a choke that Smith should be fined. You just can't see on the shots out there that he definitely was. The shot from behind only really shows that Smith held on for an extended time and doesn't show what he's doing. It's the same view the official had running over so he probably didn't see specifics either. The only time I see a player flagged for holding on and not letting a player get up is at the end of halves where the clock is a factor. So if that's what you saw here, that's not a flaggable offense. I mean, right? People are reacting to Lamb's reaction and he probably was affected in some way but can you show what it was exactly?

Lamb told a teammate it was a chokehold when he got back to the bench after the play. That’s good enough for me sir.

If the League cared about player safety and wanted to crack down on this sort of thing, it would be easy. You have video evidence of something that blatant? Suspend the player for a minimum of 10 games, no appeal. That's incontrovertible proof right there.

He didn't say chokehold. He said Smith was choking him. It wasn't a proper chokehold because Smith's forearm was on the side of Lamb's helmet so whatever he was doing was with his hand. Again, for them to do something to Smith, you have to have a good video angle of what he was doing exactly. I'm not sure how the appeals process works but if you can't pinpoint what he did, then you have to guess a fine would be overturned on appeal because of lack of evidence so how can you levy a fine? And won't that be popular around here? Yet, it'd be proper without a good angle.
