Not that there is a blue print out there, and I think some of it is circumstantial based on injuries and timing, but the Vikings showed how to slow the Cowboys offense. Stack the box, shut down the run game and take our chances on the outside.

Now this didnt work in the beginning of the season when everyone was healthy, but its been working of late.

The limitations of Zeke are showing up again. Teams know he cant bounce it outside so they sit on the middle of the line and stack it. Zeke showing his true colors. I also think he is a little banged up and of course the line isnt blocking as well without Smith.

Teams aren't going to slow Dallas offense.

Dallas will slow down their own offense. Bad passes, not blocking, dropping catches and off on timing stopped the offense.

yah, they just did. And they did it again last week. Run game looks like last year. Zeke looks like last year Zeke.

Zeke is dealing with some kind of leg issue and isn’t running the same, sure; but Dak missed some throws today and the defense was absolute trash.

It was more than Zeke IMO

Who said it was only Zeke? This thread isnt about that. Its about slowing the offense. You can read right?

As long the receivers drop balls and the OL can't block and you have great CBs and Dak has an off game, yeah our offense can be stopped.
The defense isn't quite as hard to exploit.

Not really. When Tyron's in, the O-line is fine. I just think they messed up the chemistry. Terrence is TERRIBLE on the left side. Doesn't help that he was with Connor Williams on the side. Before, he had Martin helping him out. Doesn't help that Zeke (got hurt) and Pollard couldnt' help. I don't understand why they didn't bring them (TE's too) in to help block a bit more but whatever.

If Dallas doesnt drop passes overthrow passes its a good chance they win this game because those were either drive extenders or touchdowns

the issue today was execution not a blueprint....there were men wide open multiple times but the line was terrible

if anything theres a blueprint for our defense......throw it in the flats and run the ball 30 times

Sorry but I disagree. The Cowboys were their own worst enemy today with an off-target Dak, a line that couldn't block anybody, and receivers with major cases of the drops. If Dallas sustains drives and scores the warts they have on defense don't show. Opponents that are behind can't run as much as they'd like against a defense that showed today they struggle against the ground game.

If the Cowboys sustained some drives early on today the game is a lot different. It happens. We can't expect perfection every single week in the NFL, and we also have to give the Broncos some credit too. They played harder and smarter and it showed.

Blueprint is to hope they make mistakes. That has been the blueprint since early 2020.

The Cowboys beat themselves today. Dak missed WAY TOO MANY throws. There were key drops. Mistakes on both offensive and defensive lines.
Just an overall show.

My guess is rust with Prescott plus the early start time at home made this a much tougher game than it otherwise would have been.

My hope is that this is the season’s one clunker and not a sign of what’s to come…
