I know this might not be popular opinion…but Diggs is coming back down to earth. The INT #s inflate how good he is IMO. He’s bottom 5 in the NFL in yards given up as a CB and has multiple games with drive killing penalties.

He’s solid and will continue to develop and hopefully get better…but in a loaded CB class we need to target another CB early IMO.

Yeah, that will for sure stop all those runs we couldn't stop.

Question: Why aren't you thinking of building a super bowl DLine? Haven't you noticed the difference Osa makes?

Talking about 1 pick K…you get 7 in a draft. I’d love to continue build up the DL. I think we get Gally and DLaw healthy and we’ve got a pretty good front 4. Much, much better than our secondary.

I think the team had every intention of going early with a CB this past draft. I thinks Diggs will be fine but he has to continue to refine his technique. The penalties that I see him committing are due to poor/lazy technique because he’s out of position.

I would also not stand pat hoping Joseph turns into the bookend to Diggs. Like you said, the CB crop should be loaded and we should be looking to add additional talent.

I have no problem taking some toolsy DB in the 4th.

How early? 3rd round?
I would imagine it depends on how the draft falls. Since we aren't great at evaluating CB's, I'd think we'd be better off taking some mid round prospects w/ the right tools. Unfortunately, we overemphasize the wrong traits, valuing height and college stats over the most important traits of lateral agility, mirroring ability, and ball skills.

But who? You cant just reach for a DL just to plug a hole, and you dont take run defenders in the 1st.

I think our 1st rounder is what @cnuball21 is referring too

Like Robinson or Jackson. Or Johnson who we would have taken in the late 4th in 2019? Outside of Brown, our recent day 1 and day 2 picks at CB have been the only ones that have been playable.

They absolutely should. One problem is that this upcoming draft is completely bereft of interior DL difference makers. The edges are pretty good, but the DT class is looking anorexic in terms of depth.

Prolly gonna have to be in the first 2 rounds to have a chance of landing an above average starter.

It’s a premier positions and most of the best CBs in the league were early picks.

If anyone saw the Oline perform yesterday playing musical chairs with 77 out I would say that dept needs some warm bodies come April . Higher the pick the better.

Robinson lacked tools. He was fast, and that was it. Lacked the agility to play.

We keep passing up starter quality CB's because they're not exactly what we think we want. And drafting projects. Bad draft philosophy.

And is pointless if your DLine doesn't disrupt.

Any player you take after the 2nd round is gonna have warts. The hit rate after the 3rd is very low

We took two defensive linemen in the third round last year lol
Yes, that was a good start. Osa is a beast and Golston appears to be able to play. Just hope we don't do the usual Jerry thing and start drafting CB's and WR's instead of continuing building the main component of super contenders, the DLine.

Of course, that's obvious. But, when you're taking players who don't possess the skillset to start/play, your hit rate is going to be close to zero.

Remember Mahomes running for his life last SB with Turf toe injury no less. That’s what a beat up battered Oline gets you. Oline needs some help as well if you want a 140 million $ QB moving the chains putting up 7’s
