I thought all of the corners had a good day

I was really impressed with how well the cornerbacks played yesterday. That goes for ALL of them. Jourdan Lewis looked as good as I’ve ever seen him. Anthony Brown had yet another INT and like Lewis, looks to be improving each week.

And Trevon Diggs bounced back from a really rough week. Initially I thought he had busted the coverage but on second glance it actually looked like he was baiting the quarterback.

I even saw our 2nd round rookie get on the field late in the game and Joseph was in great coverage the two times they threw his way. I’m seeing continued improvement in an area I had concerns about and hopefully that continues.

Very underrated positive that came out of this game for sure. Starters looked very sticky and Bossman was the same when he was on the field.

Also, I may have to watch the game over but Joseph was on the field for either the 4th & 7 the Falcons missed or a third down soon after. Saw him celebrating with JLew after the play. Wonder if there are some DB heavy packages used throughout the game that Joseph gets snaps in. He’s taken Canaday’s role as ST/4th corner so I assume so.

Best game Lewis has played since we beat the high powered Saints and Kamara.

Brown has quietly become a good corner. He gave up the long pass against Denver. But that was in a cover 0 and a slant so not really his fault.

Much needed play. Lewis was on fire. Big matchups this week. Let’s see them answer the challenge.

Brown has improved as the year has gone along. I always thought he was a decent player. And I never wavered from that, though many want to make him, or have him as the whipping boy, they feel they need.

Is he great, no, but he certainly is not a jag or bum. He and Lewis can hold it down until Joesph is ready. And that may go into next season. And that is ok.

I really like that the corners each excel at different things. Diggs is always looking for a turnover, Lewis is a sticky slot guy looking for PBUs and Brown is a conservative cover corner.

They can also all RUN, which is a big deal.

And we did this without our starting DE's! I didn't see stats on "pressures" but forcing ATL to play catch-up all game long definitely helps the secondary. Diggs is all over the field! It looked like he was covering 2 guys at the same time..LOL

Agree I wonder how long it has been since all three starting corners had a pick.

agree, he was balling out at the end of the game. I isolated some of his plays and it's easy to see he is one of the fastest guys on the field.

Yeah and that said, I doubt even he can run with Hill. That guy has special speed. We're talking Deion, Joey Galloway level.

If that’s a good day than what does a great day look like?

Lewis was outstanding in this game as was Brown. Ryan did not go after Diggs that often but found no success vs Brown and Lewis. Really happy with these 2 guys on a day when one of our best pass rushers was out of lineup in Gregory

Nice to see Bossman gets some reps in the dime and in garbage time, they are going to need him down the line.

I'm sure Quinn is smart enough to bring safety help over the top vs a speed WR. The scheme he has the defense run will be a big factor. KC has struggled with cover 3 because they look to get the ball down field, in recent games Mahomes has looked to the shorter passes and being more patients been a big help to KC.
