theres a reason Collins is back at RT , as good as Steele was playing hes, not collins..hes solid but not great..

the issue is him and Williams next to each other...lol

They believe Steele can play both T spots. Which is impressive.

He would need more work to be the LT 1 though.

Hes the RT 1.

Hes due 10mil in base next season.

Not sure hes playing at that level.

Jaylon got cut for less.

Well Jaylon got cut for an injury clause that would guarantee his entire base for 2022 if he couldn't pass a physical by the start of the new season.
With La'el's suspension, his injury clause for 2022 is now voided. So, if he was injured in March, 6.8mil of his base won't be guaranteed for injury.

So, I don't think he's a lock to be on the roster next year but two different scenarios with each player. Not to mention Dallas was actively trying to trade Jaylon the entire offseason but had no takers. La'el should field some offers.

oh poullease lets not try and compare LC to JS siltation..hes not being cut in fact he will remain the starter all year at rt and if something happens with TS long term i believe LC maybe LT1 down the road

hes not being cut over 10mil that chump change for a starting tackle sorry but the DC have bigger issues then LC once hes back top form fans will remember why he was the starter the first place..

I imagine it has something to do with the quality of competition.

Did said player compete against a future Hall of Famer or some rookie free agent backup starting the only game in his two season, practice squad dominated career?

If we want to sign Gregory, Collins and Lawrence's contract must go. Both. We are $19 million in the red for next years cap...already.

this **** again. the grades are opinions and nothing more. Sure they may be more informed than the average fan but it is still entirely subjective.

Since you have such a strong and derisive opinion, I assume it is informed?

Please tell us how DVOA is measured. If you have such a scathing opinion back it up. What is the protocol for measuring? (I have a hunch this is the part of thread you disappear)

As for DVOA, you start by taking every possible time, down and distance and have an expected average production based on league stats. DVOA then compares that to actual outcome in aggregate. It is entirely empirical.

PFF grades have a random number of random people with an unknown variance in expertise look at each play individually. One of these people look at any play once. They then are asked to "grade" the plays from -3 to 3 where the ends are the "worst' and 'best' possible outcomes and anything else is inbetween at the discretion of the grader. They then shoe horn that into a bellcurve which is consumerism fluff statistics. At least it is not fit onto a logarithm like baseball sabermetrics are wont to to do. This process is entirely subjective and a de facto opinion polling method.

You should reevaltuate your intuition because your hunches suck.

You said DVOA is "subjective" "opinions." Now a few minutes later you say it is "entirely empirical" based on actual plays in the games.

A 180 degree turnaround and no retraction of your initial crazy silly criticism. Your little dance is making for an entertaining evening.

We had two threads on top of each other this evening, PFF and DVOA. Thought he was talking DVOA.

Looks like I was the doofus here.

What is the title of this thread?

I said their grades were subjective and I quoted no one. Given the title it should not be hard to nuance what I was referencing. Your reading comprehension is about as good as your hunches.

You are all full of fail. Want to go for more?

10. Biadaz 72.0

Bottom 5

Connor W. 48.6
Steele. 51.2

Nice to see Biadasz up. Keep it coming. Big for our future.

Connor W has generally been good the last year and a half. Should get us a good draft pick. But I trust McGovern to do better than 50. Significantly. McGovern is a legitimate option to replace Williams if he continues like this. But he probably has a better game with Tyron at his side.
