Losses really bring out the ignorance in fans

I know they say the more you love something the harder it is to see it clearly. This is 10000% true for a lot of the posters on this board.

The second the cowboys lose a game it’s: “Packers, bills, Rams etc etc contending team would never lose like this blah blah” (even when those said teams lose that same day too lol)

“elite qbs would never play like this blah blah” (even tho every elite qb has had multiple stinkers this year lol)

it’s like peoples brains and football analysis abilities revert to the level of a 5 year old when their team loses cuz of course we know every team has to go undefeated to win the Super Bowl. Yep every SB winner including the Bucs last year all had 16-0 records go look it up.

Anyway it’s one bad game where our backup wrs couldn’t get open on the chiefs corners (because ceedee and Amari both were gone). Hey crap happens, it’s 1 loss that’s not the end of the world and I’m onto Raiders on turkey day. Go cowboys!!!:star:

Yep. And saying "fans" should be taken lightly. Just notcie all of the Rowdy Avs spewing their ignorance.

I really wish we had a vetting system that monitored ppls posts. When 90% of everything you post is negative and saying our players suck and we will lose every game, it’s clear you’re a troll and the system should ban those accounts.

@Jstopper you know got dang well a team with three losses on it's record cannot win a Superbowl. And that's a fact. So why make this thread calling people out?

What happened is fans started drinking the kool-aid. They started thinking about home field advantage and lost sight of the first team goal. MAKE-THE-PLAYOFFS ...

I know I know shame on me. The second we lost that home opener to Bucs we should have thrown in the towel. *sigh* well there’s always next year :muttley:

Well I stand by what I said, this was a big one and should have been a win. To me they are not ready to go all the way yet. And they have more homework to do than other teams.

Now this doesn't mean the loss has killed our season. Make it 10-3 now with three wins in a row and we're still on course.

But I won't lie, I expected this game to be a showcase for where this team stands right now, and it's not SB favorite. After tonight it's probably runner up in an expanded circle of plus 500 teams. Nothing more, nothing less. And I'm honest, for the aspirations they have, that freak accident vs Denver is far more acceptable to me than the outcome yesterday.

Still, Go Cowboys! Let's see where this season takes us.

:starspin:

My niece, who's equally as elderly as I am, threw an early Thanksgiving Day party Sunday, during the game. Entering the living room, where myself and a few other interested fellas were sitting, she asked me if I was really in pain, by the way I was grimacing, while watching the game. o_O

I said "Well, if I started crying, you'd think of me as a big baby and stop seeing me as a man." Anyway, it was good for a laugh. ;)

The 6-1 start had fans thinking this was going to be a Cinderella season and #1 seed and Dak winning league MVP, ect.....

1-2 record since then has dashed some of those dreams and some fans are not accepting it very well.

So a lot of posters right now are understandably upset and are using these message boards as a way to vent that flustration, like a coping mechinism if you will. So just let them vent right now.

When they held out TS as a "Big Picture" move I kind of felt this one coming. Not saying they didn't want to win it. Just saying.

They'll have all hands on deck for the Thanksgiving game. Which just got a lot more important. Win that one. And roll into the 10 day break and get ready for the stretch run.

Is what it is.

Well I'm not upset, it's more of scratching my head. I mean where do we stand right now? I just thought we were a little further ahead. Killing that KC momentum would have been a great statement. A "Cindarella season" is always nice of course but I don't need it to be happy or enjoy following the Cowboys. Plus it's no guarantee for a good play off performance anyway. But just not knowing what this team is all about isn't something I expected mid season. Losing after putting up a show like against Tampa is one thing. Getting steamrolled by a defence that has had alot of issues even though it has some newfound strength is something totally else.

Even a blow out win against the Raiders won't tell me anything about this team. I'll need a couple of games now to make up my mind. Let's hope the Cowboys will start a new winning streak.

So you are of the belief that people should not be able to express their opinions unless you agree with them? Must be nice to be anti-1A and the thought police.

Not ignorance at all........they're cowards

Yes, I'm talking about Dak critics ( not all but a select few, we know who they are) ........we don't peep from them when we are winning other than tapping every thread "it's a team game", but the min we lose a game, his entire career is suddenly defined. Pathetic........use my advice, take them with a grain of salt. They care nothing about winning a team IMO.

The defense held KC to 19 points so that is a positive. Still have our starting DE out. Starting WRs we’re out and more. Thanksgiving will be a real test with these injuries but we will bounce back when we get our starters back. Let’s see how the team responds Thursday. McCarthy needs to have this team fired up.

100%

That's why you don't judge the team after each win/loss. They had bad games during championship years, but at the end, the fanbase didn't have enough wagons to carry all of the "fans". They looked unprepared on yesterday; Thursday is right around the corner, time to move on.

It's how they lose that gets fans so upset.

We expect the boys to give up points. We've not had an actual good defence in many years. You tell me that we hold mahomes to zero TD's wouldn't you think we win? Where was this best offense in the NFL? The last 2 of 3 games Dak and company have been horrendous.

You are right about other top teams have lost as well but who cares about them.
