Who was it here that thought Garrett would get a Head coaching job after leaving Dallas?

What a joke! For years it was obvious Garrett was mediocre at best. We take 91/2 years to get rid of him and the Giants do it in less than 2 years.

@Idgit
@MikeB80

Idgit crawls out once in a while to whine but Mike has become a ghost. Mike and Idgit, your illegitimate child (Garrett) needs you both

‘We all’? You got a mouse in your pocket Garrett lover? Otherwise you’re alone and looking stupid.

I was quite specific in my comments. And if you think that’s good use of a top 1st round draft pick, you should be fired alongside your hero.

So I can't disagree with you without being a Garrett Lover.. what are you 12 or something?

You said he didn't use him.. then you said look at the carries.. next it will be "look at the carries between the Center and Guard on every 2nd Sunday on 200 pm in the afternoon, then tell me I'm wrong'.

No mention that he only had Barkley for 7 games out 26.. never mind that out of those 7 games, most of them has been returning from some sort of leg injury.. never mind their OL is horrible and running him up the gut is a waste of his talent with that line.. you totally disregard the passing game - which he could be deadly in with his speed and ability in the open field. The point is to get the ball to your play makers,, whether you hand it or pass it shouldn't be held against someone.

I don't care whether Garrett ever coaches again or anything else about him. But to say "he didn't use him" as some fatal flaw of his was not true and just plain football stupid.. that's all. Usually when people know they said something stupid they result to name calling like "garrett lover" "hater" etc... so feel free to carry on.

Not a fan of Garrrett who lasted too long in Dallas, but in all fairness he had to deal with a lot of injuries. Barkley missed 19 of the 26 games where Jason was the OC. And the Giants have still not fixed their OL. That is not Garrett's fault.

He's successful at being fired. Jerry was right.

I don't know if Garrett will be a HC in the NFL again but I wouldn't rule it out. I know fans here hate him. But the facts are he is an above 500 HC in the NFL with a lot of NFL experience as both a player and a coach. And if someone like Adam Gase gets 2 different HC jobs in the NFL, Garrett surely can. The NFL loves to recycle coaches, for whatever reason.

It will be interesting to see what happens. He has been let go from 2 of the most dysfunctional teams in the league, wonder if that will play into the thought process of other owners moving forward. While the Mara's are respected, that team has been horrible since 2017 no matter who the coaches have been.

It had to be done or Judge was going to get the ax at the end of the year. If the Giants improve, Judge gets another year.

LOL I have to admit that when I saw the title of this thread I thought why would anyone be dragging up an old thread?

I can still remember being lectured by a couple here that Garrett would be snapped up quickly as a HC once set free. Not only wasn't he given a HC job right away, he couldn't even last two seasons as an OC.

Hahahahahaha.

The not so funny part here is that Jerry and the Cowboys basically wasted a decade on him.

I am no Garrett fan, but I bet he is relieved and better off to get a jump start away from that $#^% show in NY. The end of the season will see a complete blood letting from the GM down in that building.

And just where do you think he’ll “jump” to after being fired after just a season and a half? While having one of the league’s worst offenses?

Yep. I’m 12. You figured me out.

You said he didn't use him.. then you said look at the carries.. next it will be "look at the carries between the Center and Guard on every 2nd Sunday on 200 pm in the afternoon, then tell me I'm wrong'.

I said carries from the beginning. Save your revisionist history attempts.

Running back is in the job description.

It’s entirely accurate. And yeah, claim you’re ‘not defending Garrett’ while you make excuses for him. It’s a great look and you’re really fooling everyone.

Thats what made/makes me mad. People…many know who they are…said the first 4 years of just abysmal coaching, time management, and wasting our talent was overblown, never happened and he just needed his guys. He got his guys 10 times over and still sucked the life out of the organization. No one wanted this guy but Jerry. We were being laughed at and a group here still thought they were the smartest guys in the room!
