wasn't an utter failure that an overreaction and emotional response he had more wins then loses and playoff appearances..

we had far worse coaching tenures then him..
I can't disagree more.
No HC in the history of the Dallas Cowboys did so little with what he was given than Jason Garrett. When you look at the talent that JG was given over the course of his tenure here and compare that with what he did with it, it's a total failure. It's the simple truth.

Jason Garrett never should have taken that job.
No "talent evaluator" betting on Daniel Jones is going to work out.
JG needs to find a nice college HC gig in the Northeast.

My bet is the Raiders or Chicago.

Detroit is a pit.

I agree

on paper yes it looks good with the wins and losses sure but like you said

the man was given all pros he had an offensive line that had four pro bowlers every year and a great qb and stout running back wide receivers you had Dware Newman and others and couldnt come close to do anything special

I disagree to the tenth degree of your disagreement..so we are far apart on our debate get over it !

players not executing's and blowing big game moments were more to do with our disappointments than Garett..sorry its facts .last week in KC our players were more at fault..not coaching..

was it coach who fumbled a FG in stealer(parcells) no it was the snap and hold
was it a coach who told a wr to pull up on route and miss a huge chunk play or drop a 3rd down pass? no it was not..

was it a coach who fumbled a run and missed 2 fgs in 14?

was it a coach who called no catch on dez?
.
players have made the mistakes in biggest moments not coaches.

we know their names and they screwed up just like in KC last week its on the players..

Garrett is an average coach. Nothing more.

He's good at making others initially think he's good, but that soon fades, because he is one who can't make the most out of what he has. He's focused on a system and fitting players into it and that system is outdated for the modern NFL because of parity. This leads to him needing talent at every position because he's just not that good at creating mismatches and outcoaching the other team. He held the team back more than he provided any advantage.

When did you ever say to yourself, "Wow! Garrett really outcoached the other team!"? Unless you're a Garrett homer, likely never.

He was the red-headed stepchild here and that's why he received ample time and excuses up the wazoo for as long as he did, along with Jerry's fear of letting the next Tom Landry/Sean Payton go too early (delusion). Oh yeah, he also had Romo covering for his failures, and a constant injury excuse. The guy has made millions many times over for his father's connections and being part of a club.
