Another factor which should be considered is while the Cowboys have slipped since their 6-1 start so have the other divisional leaders .

Even after losing 3 of our last 4 the Cardinals have lost a couple , the Packers and Bucs.

Along with the injuries and the current pandemic protocols we knew there could be some situations which set us back. As it has other divisional leaders.

The notion that we are the only team that started out fast has slowed is again agenda driven. That doesn’t mean we don’t have some concerns but it’s easier with our circumstances to place our finger on it. I’d be much more concerned if we hadn’t had any injuries or players held out.

The truth about fans is that without Green Bay, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, New England, Oakland and Dallas becoming winners and establishing dynasties, none have the following they have.

I used to hate Green Bay, Pittsburgh and San Francisco something fierce but at the same time had this deep respect for greatness. For that is what all are measured against. We had teams like that twice in our existence. That's how they became America's Team.

If we’d said that in mid season we’d have Lawrence , Gregory and Gallimore out on defense . And Cooper, Lamb and Smith out a few games along with Prescott overcoming an injury and Elliott nursing an injury we wouldn’t have expected any struggles . C’mon .. really. We can take that much talent off our roster and no problem .Right..lol

No, this comes down to all of the hype which was over blown on our way to 6-1 and now that we’ve ran into a rough stretch these people are unable to make a proper evaluation which tends to lean more to an agenda driven rhetoric .

Right. Our success in those eras attracted all of these bandwagon fans from around the country who for some reason are not loyal to their local or regional team.

The fact we are America’s Team represents the biggest Bandwagon fanbase in the country. It is what it is.

That doesn’t mean some havent become diehard fans but remember they bash their local or regional team. Note that teams like the Lions and Browns don’t have bandwagon fans from around the country. This has always been a problem in Cowboys Nation. We have enough issues with our local winners attitude and casual fans without all of them.

I guess these last two generations of fans we’ve attracted will have to die out without anymore success before we lose this awful label which Landry knew would be place a target on our backs .

every team has bandwagon fans....every team has fans that will ride the highs and lows...
Bandwagon fans are fans that started liking a team because it’s trendy to do so usually because they started winning.

Fair weather fans are fans that become interested in the team when they are doing well but lose interest while they are down.

The Cowboys shouldn’t have any bandwagon fans. They may have energized their fair weather fans who drank the Kool Aid again, but the team hasn’t done anything to attract bandwagon fans.

I disagree, every fan here had every right to get on board a team leading the NFL in offense and scoring and turnovers. That wasn't hype, it was real. Now, it is not real but no fan should beat themselves up for getting high on what this team was doing.

And we also have the overreaction to a game where they scored 33 with a team record for penalties.

This team was not as good as most thought it was then and it is not as bad as they think it is now. The Cowboys still ride this offense as far as it can take them.

What Poster that has been here for years is a Bandwagon fan. Those are the guys who start posting when the cowboys are doing good and then say they are switching to another team.

ok I watched the PC, and dak didnt call out fans, or say anything like that.
This is taken out of context, which is always BS.
Watch this vid and you will see why he said that and what he meant.

I didnt see anything wrong with what he said or that he was calling out any fans.

After watching it I agree with you. I think that he may be speaking about the talking heads on BSPN and other networks.

Sorry, but that’s the worst kinda of fan who hops on a wagon just because they’re having success . It’s the definition of bandwagon and exactly who Dak was referring to.

When Aikman was asked if Dallas was a good sports town, he replied "Dallas is a good winner's town". Truer words never spoken.

When the Stars moved to Dallas and won the trophy, people had flocked to the games that didn't know squat about hockey. The players complained that too many were on their cellphones or just visiting instead of watching the game.

If someone's team has to win, has to reward them for being a fan, I do not consider them a fan.

Why pay a premium for parking & tickets when the Stars were garbage after the Stanley Cup yrs and Cubans Mavericks were and still are mediocre basketball other then the 2011 championship . The Rangers have a pretty new back yard and they lost 102 games this year . They suck .

The Cowboys we all know the history have been the picture of mediocrity after Barry went back to his couch in Norman.

Tampa the opposite great baseball a SB winning Football team and a multi Stanley cup winning team in Hockey. Let’s face it the Dallas sports teams have pretty much been a shopping mall of Dollar store quality , horrible .

I’d agree to an extent, your overall message is spot on but there probably are fans who hopped on or as you say became more interested drinking the kool aide with our high octane offense earlier along with the hype surrounding Dak.
