This was within an article about Micah going the extra mile in preparation to be great.

Playing for the Cowboys can be overwhelming because of the attention. On and off the field, every move is dissected. Some players can deal with the pressure. Others wilt with sensitivity. Parsons, who was the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 draft, has flourished.

Coach Mike McCarthy said the club has a character breakdown in scouting reports to ascertain whether draftees can handle the rigors of playing for the Cowboys.

"It's very different working for the Dallas Cowboys," said McCarthy, who has been with the Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, the Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs in his NFL career. "It's a spotlight like none other."

First I've heard that we're evaluating players on whether they can handle the stage here. That we may pass on a more skilled player for someone who they believe won't wilt under the spotlight.

Now they should do a write-up on Kelvin Joseph, and how that process went. Micah is just different and they kinda fell into picking him. Parsons is making them look good.

Cowboys should really just draft good players w/o the spotlight evaluation because young men can grow as people, and that spotlight ain't as bright when your team is losing with less talented players.

Makes sense since you in the spotlight. Kinda like playing for the Yankees and the media pressure that goes along with it. Some people just can’t handle it.

Kelvin is close to being Pacman. Not sure if any team will be able to deal with a headcase. This was known when he was drafted though, coulda, shoulda moved up for Barmore like the Pats did. Barmore > Joseph and Golston.

I’m glad they’re doing this or we might have missed out on players like Jaylon and LVE

i was yelling for Barmore

The "spotlight" factor shouldn't even be a thing.
Can the player play?

Barmore should have been a top 15 pick.
