Is there any question that Malik Turner needs all of Noah Brown's minutes

We probably don;t need to debate this because I think Brown is gone after this season and Turner will be the guy they use to replace him. I live what I have seen from him so far, but we have not seen him play enough. If he runs good routes and doesn't drop passes, he gets my vote.

Not in my mind there isn't....even Troy went on about him, which means something given how little we've seen him play. Who's to say that he couldn't be our poor mans Cole Beasley.....we've seen Browns ceiling for five (5) years now.

I'm sorry but Brown's primary role is as a blocker. Turner has no business in that role.

Brown is the only WR or TE on the roster that's even interested in holding a block for more than a 1/2 second.

I'm not sure if Turner is better but he appears to be a more natural receiver with his routes and snatching the ball.

Because it is an important role

That is idiotic....he only gets about 5 snaps a game. And when he is in, it usually means one ball is thrown his way in which he's either covered because he cannot get spacing, or he drops it. He is worthless. Lets see Turners ceiling....we've had 5 years to see that Brown has nothing.

I was saying the same thing in another thread, Turner has more potential and a better receiver already , he also blocks well. The Pollard big run in the Saints game , probably was non starter unless Turner managed to slow down the Def player.

HE was mostly injured in collage and also had one of the best NCAA catches you'll ever see.
And he had a lot of drops
That was part of his issues coming out
He’s a nice player to have on your roster. Good ST guy and willing blocker. But he is today all he will ever be. That’s not a bad thing but just reality
He’s never gonna be a big impact player but he’s what a good chunk of your roster has to be. A guy that does multiple things and can fill multiple rolls

Brown had 6 catches in the Raiders game.

Turners has 4 total in the past 4 games (1 in the Saints game).

Turner had 1 really good game (Broncos).

FYI, blocking is important. A poor block by Schultz might have been the difference in winning and losing the Raiders game.

In the Saints game, they had Brown blocking on some plays they would normally use Schultz to block.

Noah Brown has a 64% catch rate for the season. He must not be dropping many passes...

I have to agree. I had hoped, with such limited playing time a tOSU, he would develop and blossom here. But he just was never able to crack into the snaps. Dallas just kept loading up on wrs.
I'd like to think that on another team he still could.....as 2 or 3 on a less loaded team.

I love it when these guys come with their opinions then you shut them down with stats.

I was talking about in college
He’s only dropped one this year
He’s about equal to lamb in drop pct
Lamb has 4 drops but a ton more targets so percentage wise they are about the same
Lamb had 8 drops last year so he’s improved that area of his game
Drops are mental
Cooper had lots of drops early in his career but few since coming here
Zeke is another guy who’s really caught much better this year
Last year he had 8 drops and he’s getting easier passes to catch, but this year only one so far and he put the ball on the ground a bunch last year too, but back to normal this year

For years now, the ONLY thing anyone can say good about Brown is that he can block....since when do you keep someone on the roster for that, given he may get 5 snaps per game???????

Do you realize that Cowboys are seriously struggling with blocking right now?

From OL to TE to WR.

Only consistent blocker has been Zeke, who is hobbled.

He dropped the pass against LVR in OT, now granted it was not a great throw by Dak but you are paid to make that catch.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I’m sorry but we haven’t covered enough topics yet for this one to be brought up.
I think it is legitimate.

Brown needs to go pursue dreams of stardom somewhere else.

Turner has fought his way so far. Give the hungrier player the opportunity.

Aww. You posters raised on fantasy football who don't understand a WR 5's role.

Y'all so cute at this age.
