Yeah a Super Bowl ring means nothing for head coach. You just never learn. Lol
Barry Switzer has a Super Bowl ring as a head coach.

When you have talent all around you all you have to do is not screw it up. McCarthy is always riding that fine line of screwing it up with his clock management and decision making.

Meh, Jimmy Johnson called a damn radio show 3 days before the 93 NFC Title game and declared “we will win the ballgame, put it in 3 inch headlines”

Seifert was so thrown off he was wondering whether JJ’s balls were brass or paper mache.

anyway, Big Mike is just trying to give the guys some confidence, since I’m sure they don’t feel as good about themselves as they did around the beginning of November.

Jimmy’s first words in the post game press conference, “Yes, they’re brass!”

Our young PC Instagrammmers on this forum simply won’t understand. I love this!

He's just saying what's what. If the WFT has something to say about it then they are welcome to do their damnedest to do something about it.
Their fans were in the parking lot two games ago, chanting “we want Dallas!”

I haven't one problem, with confidence being expressed by Mike McCarthy! o_O

Every HC should feel the same, whether it's us, or the WFT that's involved.

Washington fans and their players are fired up, just like they are each year! o_O

Anyone familiar with the mindset engendered with the WFT team knows of this.

I am not a fan of coaches talking big before a game. After all, they are not the ones on the field banging heads around. But McCarthy is right. What is he supposed to say? He has a team accused of being soft to being with. If he gives a soft answer he plays to their weakness. He expects his team to win. I expect his team to win. We all know that is not a guarantee of anything.

And btw, the other day, Ron Rivera was asked about the Cowboys being 4 point favorites and he made a comment insinuating his team is going to win too. Coaches hav to feel good about their teams. After all, they are the ones who prepare them to play.

But at the end of the day, it is the players on the field who make it happen. I'll say it again, if Dak plays like he did early in the season, the Cowboys win easily. If Dak plays like he has been playing lately, the Cowboys will struggle. That's how I see it. I saw some signs the last couple of weeks that Dak is coming out of it a little, hopefully this big games brings all his best out of him.

What's wrong with it?

I guess some are either expecting him to say "No comment", imply that Sunday's game will be too tough to make a prediction on, or that the Cowboys are going to lose on Sunday to the WFT and might as well not show up, since that is how some on the fanbase feels about Sunday's game.
