Not with that $10,000,000 injury guarantee clause, no.
It stays because that's his contract, but I believe none of the money is guaranteed so that's minimal risk.I don't know the contract rules after a player is cut. Since Houston is eating a chunk of dead money and cut him, why does his final year of contract stay in play? Couldn't someone have negotiated that injury insurance clause out of his new contract? Asking for a friend
Thanks for the explanation. It stays because that's his contract, but I believe none of the money is guaranteed so that's minimal risk.
The insurance clause? That's non-negotiable bro. He paid the premiums.
He's a Vegetarian?I think there’s a ‘V-word’ involved.
I would've offered the Texans a late round draft pick for him before the Texans released him.
That is very enlightening. Thanks for the info.

Zack Cunningham would've helped more than a late round draft pick that most likely doesn't make the team.Like the Jets did with Flacco & the Eagles ! No thanks Jerry doesn’t need to start throwing draft picks out the window for a rent a LB who may not help all that much.

The odds of a late round draft pick sticking on the active roster are slim to none. Those players you mentioned only stuck because of lack of roster talent. You aren't using a premium draft pick on him.Farniok is on the team Donovan Wilson and Anthony Brown are on the team . All late picks off the top of my head. Past rounds one and two and the obvious talent it’s Will McClays job with the scouts fill in a competitive roster . You start throwing draft picks away you end up like the Rams team full of aging vets the previous teams were glad to get rid of .
