Should I be grateful or angry my golf game has sunk to new low

My golf game has sunk to new low. But it’s December 9th and I’m golfing so guess I should be happy
I was pretty good at golf, shot a 29 on 9 holes once.....I put my clubs when I became a head coach....didn't play for 14 years......went out and played with my account on a championship course and shot an 89, including a double eagle....haven't played since....it's been about 4 years.....I.. think I need to go out again.....btw...I hit a 384 yard drive once....landed 18 inches from the pin and I two putted! Lol

that's awesome. I kind of suck I'm up and down. One time ill go out and shoot bogey golf or better than other times ill struggle with the driver and and I'm scrambling to shoot 20 over. 384 yard drive is awesome I think about the best I've ever done is 350 ish. With wind behind me and i drove green as well and while I wasnt 18 inches from hole i 3 putted for a par. I just love nature and golf gives me some semblance of peace. I love living in DFW area where i can golf virtually year round. When i lived in Illinois those clubs were put up this time a year. BTW as someone whos new to the DFW area (4years) i dont know a tom of people so if youre in the area and you want to golf sometime shoot me an IM if the schedule works Im game.

Playing with me Im certain to make you look like your ready to go back on tour

Golf is an awesome sport. Being outdoors, leisurely playing through the beautiful landscapes of a well maintained course is a nice way to spend 4 hours. I never put enough time into the game to be good, but I have enjoyed every round played always vowing to play more.

Golf is the best way to spoil a perfectly good walk.

We could eliminate half the profanity and tantrums by making the cups the size of manholes.

Golf is the only pastime where you can leave home dressed like you should have stayed inside alone.

I love golf, usually play 2 times a week. It is a really frustrating game because it is so hard to be consistent.

2 years ago I had my best round ever, shot a plus one 72 including -3 on the front 9, then a week later I shot a 93 and was spraying the ball all over the place.

The last time out I was +7 on the front then shot even par on the back with 2 birdies. Go figure!

One thing I will say is equipment is way overrated, it is all about your swing. Modern clubs are more forgiving but not enough to make a big difference if your swing is trash. I would highly recommend finding a good teacher and taking lessons over buying a new driver.

That said, next time I play mini golf, I want to do it in fursuit. I'll share a picture here when I do it.

I used to love golf. I don't play anymore, although I go to the practice range once in a while. I still hit the ball pretty decently for a 69-year old. But age really alters your swing no matter how much you practice. I have frozen shoulder on my left side, so my back swing is hampered a little bit. I had to adjust my swing timing to accommodate that little problem. Plus, once your eyesight starts to go, it makes it harder to judge distances, putting lines, etc.

But I always say, my worst day on the golf course is better than my best day at work. I am retired now, but any ay on the golf course is still a good day.
