When you think of the WFT, what makes you concerned?

Nothing they do concerns me.

The way Dak, our run game, and the offense as a whole concerns me more than anything Washington does.

Another Cowboys fan with a blind spot for defense.

Just need to outscore the opponent, no matter what! That doesn't work in the NFL.

The ONLY thing that concerns me is whether we match their emotion and intensity. You know they’re going to be pumped. I’ve seen us come out flat far too often. We need a fast start to quell their emotion as well as the crowd.

The only thing about Washington that concerns me are the two DT's. Dak is going to have to roll out to make plays.

What concerns me most about playing against WFT players is their skunk-like body odor. On the bright side it kills all variants of Covid-19.

Nothing scares me about the maroon and gold team. I am just concerned with which Cowboys team shows up.

All of my concerns are about the Dallas Cowboys. I have no concerns about the Washington team.

Commanders defense started off slow, but has been playing well of late. Chase Young got hurt in the TB game, meaning his loss hasn’t impacted the way they have played during their run. It can be argued they are playing better right now, the last three games without him.

And they have been a good run defense regardless.

It’s also cold in the area right now and was a little breezy.

I’m looking at some stats and here’s what stood out to me…

Points for:
Dallas - 353
WFT- 246

Points Against:
Dallas - 267
WFT - 297

We out score this team by 8+ points per game and we’ve played virtually the same opponents, we also have given up 2.5 points per game less than that ‘vaunted’ WFT defense that was supposedly a top 5 defense coming into this season. Oh and by the way they lost their best player (Chase Young) for the season.

Give them the +3 points for home field advantage. Give them the guaranteed Greg Zuerlin missed FG that will cost us 3 points, and give them the ‘nfl refs hate the cowboys’ 3 points advantage.

That’s 9 points. We average +10.5 points per game more than the WFT, so subtract 9 from 10.5 and we should win this game by 1 point (1.5 if you want to be technical). I have the Cowboys at -1.5 favorites, and ‘Vegas’ has the Cowboys as -4.5 favorites but they either didn’t factor in the missed Zuerlin FG (or 3 extra points), or the typical referee bull crap.

Cowboys 21
WFT 20

If we win we’ll have a 3.5 game division lead with 4 games to go, and that guarantees us at least a home playoff game in the 1st round. HOWEVER, if we lose - we only have a 1 game division lead (because we lose the tie breaker over Washington if they beat us twice and we end up with the same record + our record will be 8-5 and the WFT will be 7-6). They would control their own destiny.

In other words, this is a HUGE freakin game.

You missed the only factor that matters... Refs will control this game on both sides of the ball. 8 Zebras will make sure the Commish's gambling apps will ring the cash register this week.

47 degrees and sunny at kickoff. Some wind will be blowing through approx 10-15 MPH. Dry and clear conditions. Perfect setting for a big divisional matchup.

The only thing to be concerned about is the Cowboys leaving their preparations and fundamentals on the bus.

Rallying to the ball and tackling the runner on first contact will be huge in this game. The Commanders thrives on dirty yards after contact and the Cowboys need to make sure they wrap up and tackle. Forget trying to pry the ball out.

Dak can't be saying "I got greedy" at the post game presser. Take what the defense gives you, keep moving the chains and burning clock.

The secondary will get smoked if they play too aggressive. The WFT's OL is good and will be able to protect. Quinn should mix up the coverage and not settle in on man all game. The Heineken man can run the ball and will take advantage of an opportunity to tuck and run. Got killed with this against Hill.

Receivers have to catch the ball.

Nothing scares me about them... we only beat ourselves.

If we play anywhere near what we're capable of, the game should not be close.

We are likely very one-dimensional on offense, our o-line is struggling in pass protection (and in general), Dak has developed happy feet in the pocket yet refuses to scramble, and our coach is inferior to theirs. And it appears they're hitting their stride while we have hit the wall. Oh yeah, and Jerry's Cowboys culture.

I hope like hell I'm wrong, but I don't think today goes well. This is setting up to be a Dec 26 showdown for the division.
