Took a season for the NFL to figure out his offense.
Once they did, it was over.
But they got a super bowl victory out of it.
 
We have Clement who had a good game in the SB. Maybe some of that magic can rub off on other players in the playoffs.

I dont think this is true Wentz was playing at high level before the injury and the only reason they made the playoffs and no one knows but im betting he played well in the playoffs as well..it only makes sense if you use common sense.,.

fan here dont have that so.....

wentz degraded POST Injury and had reasons ie no wrs, no ol a team in decline quick the following year. Foles never been good anywhere but with the eagles and didn't keep the starting job.

Just makes me think of Michael Irivin lying on the turf, unable to move while the Eagles fans cheered and jeered.

I mean, I'm old school anti-Washington fandom and the Eagles passed them that day.

I'd probably consider rooting for an Al Qaeda team coached by Hitler with Jeffery Dahmer at QB and Pol Pot and Ted Bundy at WR's over the Eagles.

It was actually one of my all time favorite moments along with 2007 and 2011, since I've never seen a Cowboys super bowl. Because I hated the Cheatriots so bad and loved to see them lose so bad.

That Eagles team felt like destiny as much as I despised it. They just were so dominant and deep all over the field. Their strength in the trenches on both sides of the ball was undeniable.The fact Foles stepped in and started outperforming a leading MVP candidate was just the icing on the cake. Sometimes, the stars align. That Eagles Superbowl seems like a total apparition looking back at it a few years later. They were not great before that year or after that year. Such a strange team.
 
Ironically, the Eagles were likely one Keanu Neal screw up from not even getting out of the divisional round. Right before the half, with the Falcons leading, Foles threw a horrible pass around midfield, Neal went up for the interception and essentially "punted" the ball out of his own hands with his knee into the arms of an Eagles WR who ran for like 5-10 yards. They eventually got into FG range.

If Neal picks that ball off, there were a few Falcons around him and only one Eagles player near him, he could have returned it into FG range himself and given the Falcons time to maybe even score a TD. In essence, it was at least a 6 point swing. If he makes that catch, it's likely 13-6 at half. Instead the score was 10-9 at half and Philly eventually won by 5.

No D. Pats were 28th on D. 5th in points given up, but it quickly became apparent that the Yards Allowed was a very important stat. Pats lost because of it.

For 1 games. He was bad vs ATL, bus driver vs MINNY, then stellar vs NE.

Foles is a backup type that had one great game at the right time. He was pretty bad down the stretch of that season also, it was just the one game.

To declare Foles better than Wentz is beyond foolish.

Incorrect... he was stellar against the Vikings as well. Yes, the defense got 2 takeaways in the first half, but Foles was excellent as well. 38-7 doesn't happen by accident.

Foles was excellent throughout the 2013 and 2014 (before injury) season as well with the Eagles. He just hasn't been successful anywhere else.
