The original "we won't reschedule for anything, you'll have to forfeit" policy was put in place back in the summer when they were only expecting outbreaks to happen among teams with a high percentage of unvaxed player or organizations that willfully flaunted other protocols. How do you know these outbreaks are happening to teams that acted in good faith ? I don’t know of any info that lists info on teams percentages of vaxed versus unvaxed players, or reports on their adherence to protocols. Many teams are not having these outbreaks so clearly there is some difference in how teams are dealing with it.

Yup, the league took a strong stance right up to the point they had to do what they said they would do…lol. When it’s principle versus money, there is no contest in the U.S.

Agreed, this is totally unfair. You play with who you got. Keep the policy consistent for the sake of teams that already bit the bullet and had to play without some of their best players.

Teams do that for injury reasons all the time. Nobody delayed the Cowboys-Eagles game in 2020 so we didn't have to start Ben DiNucci.

You're right. I just can't get over how the NFL did a complete 180 from their previous stance on this issue the moment it actually happened.

Notice all of the games postponed all involve at least one team in the playoff hunt. I wonder if the only game affected by the virus this week was Jaguars-Texans. Would they have bothered rescheduling that one? I doubt it.

NFL now has painted themselves into a corner of sorts, if any other team in playoff contention or in the actual playoffs has a COVID outbreak, then they really can't force them to forfeit or they'll have to move those games back as well. Or otherwise look selective and contradictory in how they are enforcing the rules on some NFL teams but not on others.

It's time for Jerry to employ epidemiologists and geneticists to engineer outbreaks for upcoming playoff opponents. Not too severe as to cause postponements, just target a few key players each week.

Last year they really cheated the ravens by making them play short handed and other teams have played short handed this season
They shouldn’t change the plan in mid stream to help any particular team
