Only our fandom reaches this much to seemingly “elevate” the team to make it look better than it does. No other team celebrates such lowly things suck as “3 road wins in a row! Wooo!” Like we do . Sad how low our standards have become. Whatever pleases Skeletor in the Box Suite I suppose.

Dude are you seriously trying to downplay the degree of difficulty of three straight road games? You probably think the whole 3 games in 11 days around Thanksgiving is no big deal either right? It's amazing the lengths some of you will got to poo poo anything good that happens with the Cowboys.. It's almost like you're not really fans of the Cowboys..

Meh. I celebrate 10-4, beat all our division rivals & beat the Midgets twice, only lost ONE conference game,

Right now the Packers are the hottest team in football. The key phrase is "right now," and there's plenty of time for them to cool off. But on the Cowboys' side, the defense has finally jelled. If the offense
can put it together at an even 20% better rate than they are now, Dallas will be the team to beat in the playoffs.

Not sure why you feel the need to be negative about this thread. It isn't like the OP said this means we're going to the Super Bowl. He just pointed out an interesting fact.

I suppose if we were the only one of those three teams to lose all three road games you'd feel better. I think some of our fans just love to live in misery instead of enjoying the journey, however, imperfect it might be.

Yes. I, like you, am way too cool to enjoy when the team I root for wins football games.

(Oh, and I'm quite sure that every other team's fan base is thrilled and celebrates when their team wins three straight road games.)

I'm with you on the 3 road game thing....very tough even if the competition is middle of the road.

I've never really understood the 3 games in 11 days thing though. Unless its coming off a teams bye week isn't every team that plays on a Thursday doing 3 games in 11 days? IDK maybe i'm missing something but it seems like it's something several teams have to deal with now.

Agree. I really don’t get it. I guess because they want to be right more than they do the team to do well. I wish this fake fans would get off cowboyzone.

We also had 4 road games of 5 games.
This takes it toll along with the 3 games in 11 days, 4 games in 18 days.

Yeah that last part has been a killer for us in recent years. Guys' bodies simply do NOT hold up under that kind of strain.. Ironically the injuries to Tyron, Gregory, Lamb and Tank along with Cooper's Covid misses probably did us a favor in that it allowed them NOT to have to take that physical beating. So those 5 key guys actually were mostly spared the bulk of that mega-turnaround. Throw in Hill and Gallimore being out and the DT rotation got a break too. As a result we might actually be in better shape for the postseason because of it.

Only three teams in the NFL had to play three road games in a row this season: Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Dallas.

Only one of these teams won all three of those games: The Dallas Cowboys.
:bow::yourock:
The NFL had to even the schedule out because the Cowboys have such a big advantage playing at home on Thanksgiving.:rolleyes:o_Oo_O

And the Cowboys have been doing this for nearly the entire length of their existence in the league.

You have this one wrong. Only two teams have to do the Sunday-Thursday-Thursday trifecta. The Cowboys and whoever they play on that Thursday night game after Thanksgiving. The rest of the teams play on Thursday night game and get 10 days off afterward leading up to the following Sunday. And in some cases they even play on Monday after a Thursday nighter... I think the Eagles had that going for them when they played the Cowboys on that Monday night game..

No the Thursday game after Thanksgiving was a relatively new addition to the schedule. I wanna say they only added it within the last 15 years or so.. and it used to be that when the Cowboys played it it was a home game.. They shifted to forcing it to always be an away game like 8-10 years ago. So now the Cowboys play a road game Sunday before Thanksgiving, home game, then road game after.. And frankly it stinks.. It asks too much of the players' bodies and I believe is a big reason why the Cowboys seemed to always stumble down the stretch.. Especially in most of the Romo years.
