Well, it's why you do a bit of research and realize before Galley, we didn't draft good DT's!!!!!its why fans need to calm down saying we don't draft good DTs!
fiorst off there's not arent a lot of elite DTs in each draft and when picking not many available..SO if fans are patient, they see we have drafted some that are developing into those DTs weve been missing
Ie OSA and Gallimore next to each other are nice middle.
add in tanks solid de, Greagory's on the way up, add soem depth with BO, Hill and Gholston this DL was weakness now becoming a strength.
fans in zone just keep calling out drafts and Fas acquisitions before allowing time for them to come together.
We may an another future Pro Bowler.......his power is off the chart
Amazing how a little patience and solid training can transform a player. His college film was outstanding.
Should have had a late first round grade.
Showed flashes last year despite being deactivated and hurt.
Everyone was confused in last year's defense but he still looked OK at times.
So...can't say I'm surprised.
Watkins looks to be playing well also.

Personally I liked his sideline to sideline speed. The general consensus on him in college was that he dominated vs 1-on-1 blocking but got blown out by double-teams.
- He tended to be all-or-nothing in college.
- i.e. Big positive plays and big negative plays.
That continued into the NFL. He made the great plays that are shown in the highlight videos but also got blown out on many run plays.
This year he has minimized the plays where he gets blown out vs the run.
- He is obviously bigger/stronger this year.
- Quinn's scheme also helps. Last year Nolan played too much 2-gap.
- Quinn did use more 2-gap early this season but moved away from it.
- He will play some 2-gap with players like Hamilton but Gallimore plays 1-gap.
- Quinn will mix it up and play DEs in 2-gap with DTs 1-gapping.

What I find interesting is that Gallimore has maintained his same weight since being drafted, still listed at 302lbs.The general consensus on him in college was that he dominated vs 1-on-1 blocking but got blown out by double-teams.

dont care stay in this window since 2016 its getting betterWell, it's why you do a bit of research and realize before Galley, we didn't draft good DT's!!!!!
Quinn is like a kid in a candy store, after hours, and no security alarm. So, Quinn's playing him more to his strength....
Personally I liked his sideline to sideline speed.
Can close in on the passer quickly and the added size doesn't appear to have hurt that. Looks more stout vs the run than I may have thought.
He is far from Aaron Donald but can definitely be part of a solid rotation if kept fresh. Looks like that's what's going on.

At first, I thought Martin was insulting someone.
