I say we stop hyping guys as much as we stop throwing them under the bus.

Diggs Interceptions are great but that's cause QBs know they can score big yardage against him. If he picks Rogers too and we walk off with a win then he's the man, ok?

Last night they showed he has given up the most yards by a CB but then the flip side he has 11 ints on the season.

Diggs is significantly better than people give him credit for. He has 1 major defect and it’s the reason why people misevaluate his game. He cannot tackle. He gives up a ton of yards after the catch. People don’t burn Diggs - yes he gets beat deep on occasion- he’s never and I mean never absolutely roasted where the WR is walking into the end zone.

But he gives up a lot of short passes that go for long long gains and that makes his number look for worse than they should be. But he isn’t getting burned. He just isn’t willing to tackle. Big difference.

people say dumb crap like, he takes gambles and blah blah. Shut up. If that were true , receivers would be running free, that never happens.

he’s the worst tackling CB in the nfl. If that’s the stamp you want to put on him. At least get it right. He’s damn good in covers and has ELITE ball skills. Second to none. Coverage is good and improving. Tackling is awful and not improving.

those are the facts

I’m not here to hate on diggs but the info from the OP is wrong.

1) you hardly see CBS shadow receivers anymore.
2) they threw at diggs yesterday and he gave up a long pass w safety help
3) his off grade is from being bad in the run game.

love diggs, he’s a CB1 in the nfl. He’s still prone to giving up big plays but I’ll take it given the upside he had. Is he shutdown? No

I agree. No one should take it as a slight that he's not a "shut down corner". IMO, that's a outdated title we need to omit from our vocabularies anyway. "Franchise QB", "Shut down corner", "Star receiver"......these are terms franchises including this one have become so enamored with.

We got winners. We got gamers. I like those type of titles better. Shut down corner is fodder for the media and fans to squabble over.

What he did to

scary terry(twice)
Mike Evans
Jefferson

Is stellar

I honestly don’t even understand the Mathematics behind PFF rankings

the eye test is clear: Diggs is the man

I like Diggs and despite his flaws, I'll take him over just about any CB in the league

But he's allowed the most receiving yards this season...by definition, that isn't shut down

what I love about Diggs is he in not afraid, you may beat him on a play but he does not start playing cautious, he continues to battle and make the big game changing type plays. I watch some guys and they get burned they back off and afraid to go after the ball, that is not Diggs

There's absolutely no way that most yards against stat is true. If it were it would be pretty obvious watching the games because he would be getting beat all the time which he definitely is not.

If he has given up the most yards in the league surely he would have a lot of tackles then? Anthony Brown has more tackles than him.
