Call me paranoid, but having watched the last 20+ years of Cowboys football, something is going to go wrong. You know it's coming.

They had better start isolating the entire defensive line away from society for the next four weeks or so. Eliminate that possibility completely.

Hate to admit....I have the same feeling. We had some real fun against wft. I hope we can stay healthy....not find ourselves in that boat.

Funny I was just thinking yesterday about how I felt with the Landry teams and the 1990s Cowboys compared to the apprehension I feel today. As good as they look at times this year, I can't shake the feeling it is all a mirage and that they will disappoint me again. For 20 years of the Landry years, for the most part, we kind of knew they would make the playoffs and they would contend for a Super Bowl. They were always in the conversation. In the early 1990s, we had the same attitude as the team. We knew were were going to win. But after 25 years of nothingness, we've been conditioned to feel a sense of imminent disappointment no matter how they perform on the field. It is a conditioned reflex!

Just do what I do and expect them to lose the game but hope for the best.. This is honestly where I'm at with the Cowboys.

That's completely reasonable.

It's up to the organization to prove us doubting fans wrong. It's not our responsibility to blindly trust them that things are different.

Don't tell me, show me.

If it happens it happens and there will be time to be disappointed then. I see no reason to accelerate the process instead of enjoying the moment. And, if things go well and the success continues we won't have wasted time needlessly assuming the worst.

I gotta be honest, I do see this virus thing messing it all up for all of us. Teams missing important players but the games must go on anyway, so there are 4/5 stringers out there.

Not a Cowboy problem, an NFL problem. It is getting worst week by week.

I'm like an ant in a jar. Every time I get close to the top, someone bangs the jar on the table and I fall back to the bottom only to have to start my journey over again.

Good point.

During the playoffs they really should try to do something somewhat radical to minimize the possibility of players ending up on the Covid list.
They should be thinking about players living at the Star until the season ends.

Sucks for those with families, but having 15 or 20 players go on the Covid list would be the death knell of this season

That stretch of games between Den and LV didn't help to remove any doubts that we wouldn't be disappointed again this year.

The other shoe to me is when the Cowboys play a better team with a better OL and QB. These other teams in the playoffs are not going to let the Cowboys DL hammer their QB.

These playoff teams have better coaching and there are ways to slow down the pass rush.

I know we discuss this "who have they played" idea into the ground but I am not taking a lot away from playing a team that just played on Tuesday and got their butt handed to them.

At one point, AZ had a good and balanced offense and really didn't watch them enough to know what happened to them but there is no WR in the game more dangerous and effective than Hopkins so that is part of it.

That other shoe is going to hang in the air for me until the Cowboys play their first playoff game but not really hit the floor until they beat GB, LA or TB.

It's been since the 90s since I've seen our defense playing as one to this degree, having each other's back. I don't think any player wants to be that guy who puts it all in jeopardy.
