I'm not going to worry or stress over things I can't control.

However ... I remember the 92-93 team. It had swagger, confidence and talent. But I was confident in the coaching staff, from Johnson to Wannstedt to Turner to Avezzano.
They just embodied a "We will NOT lose" mentality.

I don't have the same confidence in this coaching staff. I hope they prove me wrong, but I believe our fate comes down to coaching (head coach and coordinators). I have this suspicious feeling that there will be a decision made that will cost us a game.

But I'm along for the ride.

Call me paranoid, but having watched the last 20+ years of Cowboys football, something is going to go wrong. You know it's coming.

They had better start isolating the entire defensive line away from society for the next four weeks or so. Eliminate that possibility completely.
Or.. it all goes well and we continue to dominate on defense and the offense does just enough to crush teams.

It's difficult not to doubt this team, there's recent history of the offense imploding and not much in the way of quality opponents to demonstrate that it isn't going to choke again. This Arizona game is well timed and will hopefully serve as a confidence booster for the whole team... And us!

Yeah, it’s time for some bad luck to strike. Hoping we dodge that bullet for once.

I hope you're right. But how many times has that been said over the last 25 years? Remember the team with 13 Pro Bowlers, home field advantage, playing a wild card team that the Cowboys had beaten twice already.

And they lost.

Cannot say "this is not the same old Cowboys" unless they win it all, or at least get to the SB. If they lose before then, this team WILL be "the same old Cowboys"...

I haven’t said it . I knew what we were before. And I know we are now and it’s a different . And I don’t believe you have to have a Super Bowl ring hotel it’s a different team. In this day and age Super Bowls take a little bit more than just pallet it takes a little bit of luck and I hate seeing that.

No for the first time and I don’t like seeing it. I realize it does take a little bit of luck to win it all. There’s just too many variables variables beyond the teams control

Most Cowboys fans I knew didn't feel confident during the first SB run. Me included. Jimmy and his staff were mainly collegiate coaches without any NFL experience. I actually feel more confident in the coaching staff now than I did with Jimmy and his staff during the first SB run. Mainly due to the fact, we have a HC who won a SB and many others with SB experience.

Would a Gorico plat soothe your fears?

Well, we had different experience and different fan friends.
Johnson being a college coach didn't bother me that season. He had already got the Cowboys to the playoff the year before and had brokered the Herschel Walker trade.
I could see the formation of a powerhouse. And I could see the psychological warfare Jimmy used to better his team.
I'm glad you have confidence in this coaching staff. I'll join you after a Super Bowl win. ;)

Funny I was just thinking yesterday about how I felt with the Landry teams and the 1990s Cowboys compared to the apprehension I feel today. As good as they look at times this year, I can't shake the feeling it is all a mirage and that they will disappoint me again. For 20 years of the Landry years, for the most part, we kind of knew they would make the playoffs and they would contend for a Super Bowl. They were always in the conversation. In the early 1990s, we had the same attitude as the team. We knew were were going to win. But after 25 years of nothingness, we've been conditioned to feel a sense of imminent disappointment no matter how they perform on the field. It is a conditioned reflex!
It's called PTSD and we all have it to some degree from the last 25 years. I use deep breaths and Tai Chi to calm myself.

At some point in the next month or so this team is gonna experience adversity again. Whether that’s down by 10 against Brady or rodgers…. Or having a key turnover in one of those games.

If we want to win a SB that’s going to happen multiple times. When mahomes won his every game he was down by multiple scores. In the past cowboys teams haven’t always responded well to this. You hope this team is different.

The one thing about the Landry and Jimmy Johnson days is everyone knew were the best team in football. Most teams knew exactly what we were going to run and they couldn't do a dang thing about it. The Cowboys were full of confidence and carried themselves like it. It's been 20 years since I felt that confident in a Cowboy team but I feel this team has that confidence. Can you imagine what Murry and other QB's are having to worry about going up against this Defense? I love it!

JG will do that to a fans psyche. The closest we’ve come to that feeling this season was the Denver game.

I mean....yeah. That Denver game was an ABOMINATION. I'm still not a believer...Arizona is backed into a corner. Gonna be a tough game Sunday, they better be ready.

The "Shoe" always drops!

Even for the 90s team only difference is we have social media now.

Good teams overcome everything...it's the define of a Champion

The Cowboys are a good team and one of the top 4 teams in the NFC. I am beyond confident we will make it to the second round. The problem is the NFC has four of the top 5 teams in the NFL. I believe the Cowboys defense can give the Packers, Rams, and Bucs problems. The offense is the key for us getting to the Super Bowl. If the Cowboys lose I bet that the team they lose to wins the Super Bowl. This team is not losing to a scrub team.

Screw it! We have depth. How much depth do the other playoff teams have? It could just as easily happen to them.

What I don't want to hear about when the Cowboys win the Super Bowl is talk about some daem asterisk..
