How many players are graded as first rounders in your typical draft?
Changes year to year…20ish?

I’m a fan of Lloyd and Dean but I’d be a bit concerned about his size playing in our defense where our linebackers are expected to be strong at the point of attack.
Im interested in how he measures out.

I’m not in love with Dean due to his size but his speed would be nice to have. We’re in nickel ~60% of time. Did you see the play last night when he came from 25 yards away on the opposite hash to make the TFL in the flat?
Picking where we will hopefully be picking I think BPA will meet need at OL/OG in rd 1

Broaddus says it’s typically 17-18. It’s gonna take a lot of luck for a first round graded guy to fall to us. In a draft that is lacking talent at QB and lacking elite top end talent there’s gonna less or no low hanging fruit bottom of first round. In the sims I’m doing our need positions are already wiped clean when we are on the clock…..unless you want to take OG Zion Johnson, or DE Nik Benito bottom of one.

If LC doesn’t move to LG we need a starter at LG. Which first round graded OG is falling to where we will pick. Tyron isn’t going anywhere and we like Ball who we took in 4 this year.
with all the injuries and rotation and who knows what will happen with COVID I’ll take the best OL or DL available as long as they are close to BPA where we pick
Deans size is a bit concerning but man he’s a playmaker. Plus instincts to make plays in the backfield and is above average in pass coverage.
Parsons has been playing MLB in base downs so if the plan would be to start Dean at the Will where he’s more free to flow then sign me up. Then Parsons rushes the passer and you can have Dean / Cox as your nickel / dime backers with Safeties you could mix in.
I like Lloyd but not sure what kind of athlete he is…good production but I’ve read a few scouting reports where the word “stiff” comes up which is scary.
Bro, I’m not being a smart *** when I ask this but do you get a chance to watch some of these prospects or do you prefer to read about them?
Lloyd was recruited as a safety out of high school. He grew into a linebacker’s body. His mobility and athleticism are his calling card. There’s no stiffness to him. At least, that’s to say more than adequate to play the position.
Dean and Loyd are modern day backers. Both plug in starters. It’s impossible to know what direction we’ll go without seeing what happens in FA. Could be OL, WR, DE. or LB.[/QUOTE
good point…very anxious to see what we do and who we keep in FA.
Hopefully enough to let us BPA…
