This loss was a total team crap fest. Starting with coaching, Kingsbury schooled Quinn, Moore, and McCarthy.

They are what they present each week, an average football team, with a few good pieces. Since Denver used that defensive scheme against Dallas, they have not been able to figure it out. McCarthy, Moore, and the offense has been a sore spot all year.

Defense had an ugly game. When you live and die by TOs, that will happen. At no point in time have I heard or seen anyone say we have the #1 defense though. Everyone points to the offense, ranked #1 in many categories. They had SEVEN points late 3rd qtr. Now, one can blame the defense(and they deserve some of it), but when the offense essentially shows up for 1 qtr and mails in the rest, it'll normally end like yesterday's game. Cards whipped the cowboys across the board for essentially 3+ qtrs, no amount of debate or stats changes that. Dak is the leader of said offense. If he deserves praise for the good, he deserves his share of blame when it's bad. Was it all him? NO...abandoning the run, bad OL, dropped balls. The whole offense basically was a no show. But if Dak is man enough to say it wasn't good enough, why will some argue differently?

Thats right its daks fault the cardinals scored on 6 of their 8 drives. And never saw the ball again with almost 5 min to play in the 4th with a chance to tie or take the lead.

He didnt have his best game but hes like 6th on the list of why we lost the game

We're ranking #1 due, in part, to the schedule and division, an offense that bullies the weak. We have a scheme orientated offense which needs a lead and then will consolidate and work off the oppositions mistakes as they try to 'push' the defense into taking risks. At the moment the oppositions defense is dictating how we play....

Dak's accuracy (or lack of) means that as soon as the safeties play back he's left with his third choice and TE options as he doesnt have the arm (or confidence in his arm) to challenge the coverage, hence Coop and CeeDee have a combined 6 receptions whereas Schultz and Wilson have 12.

Dak will falter as he doesnt have the accuracy to make every short yard pass and that drives will eventually fizzle out (usually as the field closes in).

Dak - as awesome a guy as he is - has always seemed to require optimal conditions (i.e., a top-flight roster) to perform on an average level. Looking like a deer-in-the-headlights for huge swaths of this season...especially when playing from behind. Not to mention that he gets no help from an O-line with a clueless center (no Mark Stepnoski) and less-than-predicted uptick from the much-awaited return of Tyron Smith. The team looking very much (this week) like the runt of the litter & a one-and-done in the playoffs. Perhaps there's a sports psychologist somewhere who might be able to navigate Dak through what appears to be a persistent crisis of confidence (it ain't the calf, fellas).
I agree he has a confidence problem, I posted the same in the game thread. Az had their 2 top pass rushers out and had to resort to rookies at DB, totally short handed yet Dak was afraid to attack downfield.

The defense knowing it also (as us laymen can see) you can load up on the run and press the short zones. You have to take shots downfield to loosen up the defense, makes the game easier to play on every level.

Coop, who hardly talks at all said I'm open and not being used. Well maybe we should line Coop up in the backfield and send him on a 2 yard out, then Dak might throw to him.

Ya'll haters are crazy with hate.

This game was not on Dak. If anything, Dak kept us in this game.

I counted 5 batted balls and 2 drops. That is 7 of his 14 incompletes for the game.

There were 2 passes I would deem bad by him. 2.

His fumble in the 2nd to last drive...it sucks, but it happens and was a great play by the defender. I am more happy that he ran the way he did making people miss (more than Zeke did all game) and not afraid of his leg. If that 22 yard run didn't get called back, he had 2 less yards running than Kyler that you all think is the 2nd coming.

THis game was not on him but here is what was the cause of the loss:

  • The total lack of a running game and threat of the run. Just anemic. No one respects Zeke as he is clearly hurt.
  • Horrible penalties. Many advantageous 3rd downs turned into much more difficult 3rd downs.
  • Another crushing missed chip shot fg.
  • Jayron dropping that gimme pick in the end zone.
  • The HORRIBLE non-fumble call on a clear fumble at the end of the game. The defense finally made a play and the refs screw us. We last saw the ball with over 4 min left...never get it back. Clearly this is Dak's Fault.

You guys are all dejected and blaming our QB but I am encouraged. I see us beating them in the playoffs. I really do. I expect our defense to clamp them down even more and I expect our offense to not shoot themselves in the foot like they did today.
This forum has boiled down to wins being great team efforts and losses being Dak’s fault. The amount of hate towards that guy is mind blowing. Yesterday’s loss was on the terrible OL, drops, terrible safety play, the kicker and Moore’s refusal to run the ball. Dak wasn’t great but apparently he needs to be perfect every week for some.

I'm sorry, but did we not get the ball back every time the Cardinals scored and went into the 4th quarter with only 7 points to show for it?

Did you see moore call the same straight up the middle rushing play ?

do we have only one rush play in the playbook ?

what happened to the 'boy genius' ?
I think it was three in a row.... and infuriating!

Funny thing....Ken calls people Dak haters.....and proceeds to make excuses for Dak....but then bashes Zeke. So the terrible o-line play that Ken blames for Dak errors....doesn't apply to zeke? The play calling Ken blames for busted plays....apply to Dak but not Zeke? Tony dropped the same pass Zeke dropped. Zeke was getting on a roll and HOLDING...is Zeke's fault?

I'd say Ken is a gosh darn hypocrite. Or...is that what a homer is?

So there's no Zeke or Zeurlein hate huh?

Moore's been taking heat, O-line too.

But all you see is Dak?

What the....

When a QB is in the top 3 paid players in the league then as a result of the salary cap, there will be games with issues in other departments. To justify such a contract he has to elevate his game and those around him to secure the W. Prescott was unable to do that yesterday. The Cardinals were missing two pass rushers and two corners yet the offense led by the the $40 million man could only manage 7 points through 3 quarters. Nobody would care if he was paid $100 million a year if there wasn't a salary cap as the front office could simply invest even more resources to build an elite team around him in every position...unfortunately there is a salary cap.

How did the highest paid RB do? The guy that left his team and went to Cabo.

Dak is not the problem.

He is underperforming as well in proportion to his contract. But Prescott has the ball in his hands before offensive snaps to influence the game like no other player. The lack of deep shots against a depleted secondary was particularly concerning. That's also on Moore but Prescott is in his 6th year...surely he can change the call and take a deep shot where appropriate.

Dak sucked but the protected one must be defended at any cost.
For the first time, I said to myself we’re not going to win in the playoffs with this quarterback. He wasn’t the only thing on offense that sucked. Where the hell is the running game

That’s absolutely misleading. I admit when he plays horrible. That was not on him yesterday. The entire office. Including Kellen Moore. Throw the ball deep at least once or twice really think you’re going to. Don’t you dare just put this on the quarterback

Dak was never looking towards the 3 WR set until he received the snap. Hard for any QB to guess a Safety is going to read the play and jump the pass at that moment.
You forget the 2016 playoff game against the Packers when Dak lost the game throwing a pick on that very same play.
