Is there a rule in the NFL that prohibits Dallas to throw deep in a game?

To throw deep in a game????? I mean Dallas offense has to be the most simplest offense to prepare for. As a corner you don't worry about them going deep. Basically play physical up front and their Oline will crumble. Or get called for penalties. Running game worry for our opponent is over. So the only thing left is Dink and dunk all the way down the field. Defense just lays back and wait for whoever to catch the ball and tackle them. 2 yard gain.2nd down same thing..two maybe 3 yard gain. Now you looking at 3rd and 5 or 6 and the defense just blitz against the weak azzzzzzz OLine. Moore never sneaks in a screen to make them pay. And that DUMB wide receiver screen to Lamb is going to get taken back for 6 if they keep running it. Everyone knows it's coming and it's just plain luck the Arizona corner dropped the ball on the play. Just can't understand the love for Kellen Moore. He's good versus bad teams but good teams hand him his hat practically every time. Maybe McCarthy just don't trust his receivers. Somebody said something about pulled hamstrings:facepalm: Lamb now seems to think he's made it. Cooper is part time. May show up. May not. Gallup hurt. Wilson and Turner maybe our only hope. I'd love for them to throw one fly pattern to Turner. Just one:facepalm:

The NFL bylaws include a provision that 4th-round picks named Dakota are not allowed to throw deep. The opposing defenses all cheered.

Look, me lad, Dak prefers the 10-yard passes to a TE and not the long ball.
But these short passes being batted down get old.
My prediction: In the playoffs Dak will throw an inconsequential pass to Schultz. It will be batted or tipped and caught by the D and taken for a pick 6. Then we can lament another year of not getting the brass ring, old fellow.

The excuse that Dak just doesn't get time is played out. How many qbs don't get time and make something happen out of nothing?

Dak is simply taking too long to read or decide what he wants to do like run. Have you noticed he constantly steps up into the pocket for a sack?

I think this may be the best he is ever going to be. I hope I am wrong.

It isn't just deep shots, how often do we actually do our outside WRs when they aren't running in breaking routes or bubble screens?

That throw to Gallup has been there all season but is almost never thrown.

Teams are compressing the middle of the field and daring Dallas to beat them on the outside.

We rarely throw back shoulder or fade routes.

It comes down to Decision making and doing so quickly. Easier said than done. Checking down is fine but you want to make sure you allow the deeper routes to do there job before checking down. What makes TB and Manning great is taking what the defense gives you. They'll throw deep if they see a mismatch in 1 on 1 or in the slot, if not they quickly throw it to the check down that way they can run for a guaranteed 5 sometimes 10 yards. But it only works if they read quick enough to see how the defense is defending the deep game

That’s why all you need to do is throw deep. Just let it lose…

Is it because Dak can't throw that or they won't let him? I wonder what the percentage is of Dak audibling out of a pass to a run or checking it down. There's no way, KM is calling that many passing plays behind the marker. Why MM hasn't corrected it yet is a mystery to me.

That's the biggest problem. IMO. Rodgers has always said or hinted that when in Greenbay MM was there for the ride. All on Rodgers. Seems like the same MO in Dallas without a Rodgers. If Moore is to chicken or don't wanna rock his friendship with Dak then McCarthy should step in and tell Dak to run the damn play called. Or tell Boise State throw happy Moore to run the damn ball. This isn't Boise State.

Dak needs to take off the training wheels. Dak tries so hard not to throw picks so he never goes for it when he should. He's always going to play against a stacked line if he doesn;t start throwing down field.

Remember Dez absolutely dunking on the entire league until Dak arrived and then he “couldn’t run routes.”

Turns out Dak just wouldn’t throw him the ball down the sideline.

Rewatch the game-Catch17. Dak had Coop wide opened but checked down to Zeke. Coop is getting frustrated. I never seen a quarterback that doesn't have that go to receiver. Staubach had Drew. Aikman had Irvin. And Romo had Witten. Dak seems like he has no guy he can go to in the clutch. Even Quincy had Bryant. It's just damn curious what's going on. Does Dallas even practice offense anymore???/
