Sidney Poitier, Oscar-winning actor and Hollywood's first Black movie star, dies at 94 - CNN
Sidney Poitier, whose elegant bearing and principled onscreen characters made him Hollywood's first Black movie star and the first Black man to win the best actor Oscar, has died. He was 94.

Clint Watson, press secretary for the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, confirmed to CNN that Poitier died Thursday evening.

Love everything he starred in, In the heat of the night, Lilies of the Field, A patch of blue, and the Defiant ones and so many more.
A true legend in every way.

Also love how the Sheriff carried Inspector Tibbs luggage to the train for him ......... so many things that today's youngsters would not even notice or understand what those moments meant in the 1960's

That was my favorite movie of his. He had a sly sense of humor that all too often you did not see him show; but did in that movie.

No one can say he did not have a great life. Or live it all the way.
