Everyone still on the play every starter bandwagon?

To many others here, it means setting a mindset of winning, rather than losing. Convincing players to accept excuses for losing is what's wrong with this team and its players. There are thousands of excuses for being a loser. Convincing players to accept it so willingly is what haunts this team. The game tomorrow is another game that defines us as winners or losers. It's not a preseason game -- otherwise, it wouldn't be counted in the regular season. We'll play in the 1st playoff game in a better mindset if we win and a worse one if we lose. That means it matters.
That's media/fan stuff, Bully. If sitting your starters in a meaningless game causes a team to lose their "winning mindset", then that team did not have a winning mindset to begin w/.

Sorry, but your line of thought is simply not correct. That is a fan striving for logic. This game is not even close to defining us as winners or losers. That actually makes no sense.

Really? You sound like a loser with that attitude. I think you're better than that.
Want to know a huge factor why Brady lost the 07 super bowl after an undefeated season? He got hurt in the meaningless game that ended the season. Which means he was hobbled against the Giants. Your type attitude is what lost the 07 super bowl for the Giants.

I guess. “The mindset of winning” is something we can’t quantify but I guess it exists if you say so.

I just wish that mindset of winning we got from the Washington game had carried over to Arizona.

I'm not concerned with what happened to the Patriots nor the Giants. I'm also not proposing that Dak should play the entire game if Philly doesn't play Hurts in that manner. I'm simply talking about competing to win in a sensible manner. What I'm not accepting is making sure we lose and justifying it for "winning in the playoffs." We'll win if we play our cards right and lose either way if we don't.

Arizona is a team that we haven't matched up well against for a long time now.

We lost to them because they were simply better than we were.

Their super quick little QB made sure of that. Ouch.

At least, we fought and didn't lay down.

Kind of depends, I rather they play who they can and try to win the game. Go into the playoffs on a winning note.
I know many of the usuals on here will down play the win, especially if the Eagles do not play their starters, or have players on the reserve list as well.
But who cares about them and their narratives.

I am sure though the opposite can be true also, those that will up play win regardless who plays or not, for both teams.

I just want to see proper execution, and no injuries. As to resting players or not, better seed is on the line, though doubtful it can improve. But still, you go play to win the game.
The Rams and Cardinals can both get beat this weekend. I actually think the Niners will beat the Rams and the Cardinal/Seattle game is a tossup. We beat Philly and we are the 3rd seed.

I shouldn’t say this, but the Niners scare me a little, with their run game, and defensive front. I think we play them if we get the 3rd seed. We play up to our potential, we will beat them. The divisional round we then avoid Lambeau Field!

Oh we matched up well. They can’t stop the run and their Oline was in shambles. Plus half their team was missing.

Dallas was an absolute awful matchup for AZ. The difference is we had Dak and they had Kyler.

I’m only for playing the starters if Philly plays theirs. Nothing good will come from our starters playing their backups. No point in risking our starters to injuries against their backups. If our starters don’t look good against their backups we’ll lose even more confidence. We had several games left to get back on track and we couldn’t. I said weeks ago our best football of the season came and went. Nothing we can do about it now. We’ve only had a couple of playoff teams in the last 26 years look good heading into the playoffs and that was the 2009 and 2018 team. Both teams won a playoff game.

It was the most lop-sided matchup of that entire game and unfortunately, there's no denying that. We can agree on it, definitely.

dak will play the whole game. his ego can't take it if Rush comes in and wins again.

this team has shown no signs of building upon momentum...why on earth play anybody?

If you are not concerned whether playing your starters in a meaningless game is smart, then you should not be in this thread.

This forum is for the exchange of thoughts and ideas. If you cannot handle or respect that, you're the one who doesn't belong here.

Nobody wants to see a starter get hurt nor injured and that includes myself. This is simply aimed at the best ways of going about it.

I happen to disagree that this game is entirely meaningless and so do many others. You are not an appointed monitor here. Face it.

People can do or say whatever they want on here as long as its within the rules. That includes laughing at dumb opinions or ideas. Or praising them. If you cant handle or respect that, then maybe its YOU that doesnt belong here.

Telling another member that he doesn't belong here constitutes assuming the right to forbid the free exchange of ideas. Maybe you don't belong here, yourself, if you can't abide by that rule. Assuming the authority to forbid that exchange violates the purpose of this forum. I haven't forbidden anything. I have no more authority here than anyone else. My response was and is just intended as a point of reason. The only people with that authority are the administrator or an assigned monitor. We're all aware of that or should be. I don't seriously attempt to silence anyone, and maybe you shouldn't, either. Let's just relax and show respect for the right of free exchange, here.
