It's happening! Chargers-Raiders get in with a tie

The Jags are crushing the Colts, and that means that the Raiders and Chargers both get into the playoffs if they tie tonight. If either one loses, they're out. So both teams are strongly incentivized to just play for a tie. Will they do it? No, but that's too bad. I'd love to see a hundred consecutive kneel-downs.

I don't believe that's true. They were lined up to run a play, in shotgun, when the timeout was called. Plus, by winning, they get to play Cincinnati instead of KC, which is plenty of motivation. They weren't going to do anything stupid like pass, but I do believe they would have gone ahead and run it, same as they did. And when they got the 1st down inside the 30, well why not kick the FG?
