Jerry must put Jimmy in the ROH on Sunday

The playoffs are about momentum. We're about to face an old rival in the playoffs in a game that hasn't been seen since January of 1995. The last time we hosted this rival in the playoffs was January of 1994. This was the second to last game that Jimmy would coach. The game is on CBS just as it was then. Washington at the time was our usual regular season rival, and San Francisco was our playoff rival. We're the home team, just as we were that year. The stars have aligned. Many things that happened then are happening now.

If we are to start off on the right foot this playoff, Jerry must put Jimmy into the ROH. Imagine us being tied at halftime. Jerry puts Jimmy in the ROH who delivers a rousing speech that hasn't been heard since the last time he led us to a Super Bowl with the words at the end "How Bout Then Cowboys!". I daresay, we would absolutely destroy everyone in our way with a speech like that, and especially with it coming against this particular opponent.

And later on Friday morning, Jones himself also joined The Fan to further clarify.

"The one thing we did not want to do is any way is take away from this great recognition of going in the NFL Hall of Fame,'' he said. "We’ll get to the other stuff relative to the Ring of Honor later on. ... We can do both."

Thats hardly a commitment to do anything anytime soon.

"The one thing we did not want to do is any way is take away from this great recognition of going in the NFL Hall of Fame,'' he said. "We’ll get to the other stuff relative to the Ring of Honor later on. ... We can do both."

Thats hardly a commitment to do anything anytime soon.

Probably since Jimmy was here. It's absolutely imperative that Jerry pulls out all the stops he can so this team can go where I think and we think it's got the potential to go. He literally tagged into a conference call to go over players evaluations like he even has a clue or should have a say. He is listed as the general manager and still doesn't give Will McClay any credit. If that guy ever leaves it's back to the 5-11 or now 5-12 days trust me. If Jerry every left and Will had full control this team has TJ Watt and Juan Thornhill and others and is probably a doomsday defense competing with anyone, I can go on and on. Also the curse of Rowdy (born 1996) remains.

I know that he's a narcissist. But the question is, is potentially throwing away a Super Bowl caliber roster over his grievance worth it to him? He's not got long, and he can always say that Jimmy had nothing to do with the construction of this roster, which he hasn't. So, that part of the equation is gone.

I can think of a few good alternatives to Rowdy. Perhaps a horse named Rocky would be good for one. I know, I know, most of my thoughts are with horses when it comes to mascots for us. What can I say?

This is what I have been saying .. and its not because of taking something away from the HOF.

Jerry does not want the HOF induction to overshadow Jimmy's ROH induction because he wants all of the attention for doing it.

I am not a fan of Jerry at all. Sunday needs to be focused on the football game and the football game only. Jerry already brings a circus atmosphere with him and we don't need anymore. That's like getting some rum and a bucket of chicken and praying to Jobu.

We just need to show up and play mistake free football while focusing on the fundamentals. That's it. Everything else is just noise. Noise we don't need.

Of course I want to, but this is also about setting the tone for the playoffs. Everything has aligned perfectly. It takes luck as well as skill to win a championship, and I think we finally have luck returning with the way everything has aligned. Jerry must do everything he can to capture it.

Thats the best take I have heard and makes the most sense. I can see him on the field soaking up the fan adulation intended for Jimmy as video of the 90's Super Bowls play on the video screens. Its going to be a big welcome to MY house Jimmy.
