All the media seems to want to talk about is SF’s run game vs our D. Somehow SF has transformed into a juggernaut, while Dallas is just lucky to be there lol…

The true key to this game is actually the Dallas Offense vs SF D. Can SF stop the #1 offense in the NFL? If they can— then the game will be close and their run game indeed will be a huge factor.

However— if Dak and Co can get an early lead, move the ball, and score points— then the pressure begins to shift to Jimmy G and the SF passing offense and the Dallas pass-rush becomes a huge factor. Should that happen— I think Dallas wins fairly convincingly.

Bottom Line: If Dak has time to throw— there are mismatches to exploit in the SF secondary. Yes— we need to come ready to stop the run. The bigger question is can SF stop our offense?

The bigger question is will the Dallas offense stop themselves? The time for clunkers is over. I don't know if the offense "got fixed" last week or not but I do know they need to be far more consistent than what we've seen since Dak got hurt.

Yes. Sluggish, flat starts… and sloppy execution have been issues. They certainly can rear their ugly head and no one would be surprised.

For me— I am interested in what “playoff mode” looks like for this team. Does it cause them to get laser focused or will the pressure cause them to crap the bed?

This is the best shot for this group of core players. Is the leadership on this team strong enough to take their game to the next level?

Most teams outside the NFC east have stopped Dak so I don't know what makes you think this will be any different.

So the key match no one is talking about is Dak vs. their secondary? Or is it our offensive line vs. their front four? Or is it our whole offense against their defense?

Just trying to clear the murky waters for us common folk.

It's gonna be fine.

We're going to unveil that secret playbook and stop playing bad on purpose as not to show our hand now that it's playoff time.

I feel sorry for the 49ers. The last 2 1/2 months of holding out all our good plays and sandbagging is about to get unloaded on them.
Steele's Td and Wilsons pass play has to be at least page 3 of the playbook. Cant wait to see page 4 and 5.

I think you are spot on....although I'd say people are talking about it.

McGovern catches a pass at the 4 yard line and laterals it to Ron McKeown, who fumble-rooskis the ball with Dak right behind him. Dak walks it in.

Protecting Dak and creating holes for the run game is the key to us winning
If we do that, we will out score them even if they run the ball well

the key is Dallas OL protection and run blocking vs. SF DL....if they have success with 4, and able to drop 7 into coverage, then we will have a tough time. if they have to bring extra men into the box to pass rush and defend the run, then we will have success...

key for us is our ability to set the edge in run game and have some successfull runs to the outside. then we can spread their defense, with just formation and pre-snap motion setting them up for what we want.

I don’t know what will happen. SF might shut him down. But I am open to the possibility that Dak just may shred the 49ers. If that happens— will you give Dak any credit, or will the usual “the opponent sucked” narrative be trotted out?

San Gran got hot at just the right time. Not only in time to make the playoffs, but in time to be this years media darling underdog.

Good point.. SF is rolling in hot, while we were chugging along. And the playoffs is generally about who is the hottest team going in..

My belief is once you get to the playoffs, it’s your 53 vs their 53. It takes offense, defense and STs all playing at a high level. Maybe the offense plays better or maybe the D plays better. But what you cannot have in the playoffs is a zero from all three phases of the game. If you do that, you lose.
